Summary
Jujutsu Kaisenhas been absolutely incredible for the fans over the course of the last few months and this is simply down to the fact thatthe most amazing fights of the Culling Game archave slowly been playing out. From Gojo versus Sukuna, to Yuta and Yuji versus Sukuna, this final segment of the series appears to be absolutely incredible, with many interesting battles to keep the fans hooked.
Of course, the most important characters in Jujutsu Kaisen slowly started getting more time in this final segment of the series and Maki is no exception. In the final battle against Sukuna, Maki has finally made her entrance and it is going to be quite interesting to see how this battle shifts up from here onwards, especially with Maki having a trump card of her own to use against him.
Yuta’s Defeat To Sukuna
Yuta recently entered the battle against Sukuna and it was really exciting for the fans to witness this incredible clash. Immediately after entering the battle, he utilized his amazing domain expansion, called Authentic Mutual Love. With the power of this domain expansion,Yuta’s Copy innate technique was pushed to the utmost maximumand Rika was in the battle with him, aiding him wherever she could. This proved to be quite an effective strategy as Yuta landed some of the most powerful blows on Sukuna, giving many opportunities to Yuji to land his deadly soul crushing blows.
With that, Yuji was able to effectively weaken Sukuna to a point where his control over Megumi’s soul was weakening quite a lot. Yuta even utilized Sukuna’s very own cursed technique and injured him greatly. If that wasn’t enough, he managed to cut off Sukuna’s arm as well and that just goes to show the incredible power that he possesses. However, at the end of the day, Yuta did not have enough in him to take down Sukuna. Sukuna ended up taking a big gamble when he utilized the power of the world cutting slash to strike down Yuta. Even though he was struck with Jacob’s Ladder, it proved to be not enough to completely exorcize the cursed object inside of Megumi, especially since Megumi himself had lost the will to live. This is where things started to backfire for Yuta and the world cutting splash split him apart, effectively removing him from the battle for the time being, along with Yuji and Rika.
Maki Joins The Battle Against Sukuna
While Yuta losing the battle was crushing for the fans, it was certainly not the end of the battle against Sukuna. For those who believe that Yuta losing meant the end of all hope in the battle against Sukuna, Gege had planned a very big surprise that came in the form of Maki. As fans know already, Maki is incredibly powerful right now. In fact, she is just as strong as Toji Fushiguro, if not stronger. This in itself makes her a threat to Sukuna, however, if that wasn’t enough, Maki might potentially have gotten even stronger over the course of the last month, which actually puts her about the level of Toji already. Towards the end of JJK chapter 241, Maki snuck up on Sukuna and used her sword to pierce him right through the chest. This blow must have injured him greatly, and even though he has access to reverse cursed technique,the damage that Maki dealt to him must have been telling.
Maki’s plan here is to, of course, help save Megumi by defeating Sukuna, and, given that Yuta is out of the battle now, everything rests just on her shoulders at the moment. This is going to be an absolutely incredible battle for the fans to witness and one that they have been wanting to see for years now. Maki is a monster in combat and certainly one individual that fans have always wanted to see go all out. Now is the time for her to showcase what she is truly capable of and thankfully, she has a trump card up her sleeve that can help her do so.
Maki’s Trump Card Against Sukuna
In terms of physical attributes,Maki is certainly up there with Sukuna.When it comes to physical strength, speed, and other attributes, Maki is up there with the very best. She is a superhuman and that power comes from her heavenly restriction, as fans know already. She does not possess any cursed energy, and because of that, barriers and domains simply do not work on her. She can detect even the smallest of changes in her surroundings, and her lack of cursed energy means that she can sneak up on anyone without having them detect her. However, her biggest trump card in the battle against Sukuna is her cursed tool, the Split Soul Katana.
Fans have already seen this weapon being utilized by Maki on many occasions. It deals very deadly blows, as has been seen on many occasions in the story already. Essentially, the Split Soul Katana ignores any defenses that the enemy has and directly attacks the soul of the target. As such, the blows that Sukuna takes from Maki are going to be no different from the blows that he takes from Yuji. If anything, Maki is likely a heavy hitter when compared to Yuji and her attacks will likely deal more damage. Sukuna is already losing control over Megumi’s soul and that is something that has already been confirmed in the story. Since Yuji managed to weaken him quite a lot with his soul-splitting attacks, it is now time for Maki to do the same on a much bigger level. The biggest trump card that Maki has in this fight is the cursed tool that she has already used on Sukuna by stabbing him through the chest.
This stab appears to be lethal and it should surely have weakened him quite a lot. However, Sukuna likely will not fall from just one stab. Maki needs to keep up her assault and any scratch or graze that she gives him is most definitely going to help save Megumi. Her role is to weaken Sukuna enoughto the point where Megumi wakes uponce again and, hopefully, gets the will to fight back. From there onwards, it will likely be up to Yuji to save the day and, hopefully, that should be enough to defeat Sukuna.
For now, fans will most likely have some very incredible and high-octane action between Maki and Sukuna on their plate. Since Yuta is out of the battle, along with Rika, everything rests on Maki’s shoulders and that gives her an incredible opportunity to showcase a level of skill, along with her potential as a fighter and a rival of Sukuna. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see this battle progress further asJJKis going on a break.
