MostCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers are undoubtedly familiar with the Stim glitch, as the annoying exploit is used by cheaters regularly. However, one recent showing of the Stim glitch seemingly gives aCall of Duty: Warzoneplayer a pair of Night Vision goggles as well.
For those who are not aware, the Stim glitch has been plaguingCall of Duty: Warzonesince shortly after the game launched. Allowing players to repeatedly heal inside the storm and survive in the final circle indefinitely, cheaters simply need to wait for their opponents to die to the poison gas to secure an undeserved victory. The Stim glitch has appearedon four separate occasions, with Raven Software’s various patches only removing the exploit temporarily.

With popular YouTuber JGODrecently discovering a new Stim glitch, it is not too surprising that Redditor thewolfofwestoz ran into someone making use of the unfair advantage provided by the bug. As is usually the case, the spectated enemy survives in the storm for ages, waiting out his opponents — with the only possibility for failure being another infinite Stim user. While thewolfofwestoz and his team make fun of the cheater, calling them a loser and booing their decision to use an exploit. However, one odd moment in the clip distinguishes it from other Stim exploit videos.
Right before the Stim glitch user enters the storm and begins to cheat, they throw a flashbang at a crate in front of them. Instead of being stunned, they briefly equip and unequip a pair of Night Vision goggles. Confusing everyone in the comments and the clip itself, as nobody can explain their appearance, players are scratching their heads as to where the goggles came from. While the item exists in theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019 campaign, it is not an item that can be picked up in the current version of Verdansk.
Regardless, Raven Software needs to find a permanent fix for the bug in the near future. Many players, such as MikeV27, are calling for Stims to be outright removed from the game until a fix is discovered. Withattack helicopters previously removedfromCall of Duty: Warzonewhile a fix for the invisibility bug was worked on, this is an understandable request. At the same time, though, Redditor IcY11 makes the point that “people will run around with [infinite] flashbangs instead,” making a removal of Stims only a partial solution.
As of now, it is unclear what to make of thisconfusingCall of Duty: Warzoneclip. Whether the goggles are a new Stim glitch ability or simply a side effect of one of the ways to activate the exploit, seeing Night Vision in Verdansk at all makes for quite the sight.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
