Video game characters often do a lot. Running, jumping, fighting, and going on epic adventures require a lot of time and energy. Then, there are characters that rather not go through the trouble.

They can’t be bothered to lift a finger to do something productive or to assist someone else. These video game characters are the laziest of the lazy.

ThePokemonseries has been running strong for 27 years now, in the form of video games, trading cards, cartoons, movies, and other merchandise. There are nearly 1,000 varieties ofPokemon.
One member of the original 151 was Snorlax, a large, round, green Pokemon that is known for eating massive amounts of food and sleeping. A Snorlax wreaked havoc on an orange grove in the Pokemon anime, and he has gotten in the way of aspiring Pokemon trainers inFire RedandLeaf Green, the remakesof the original games.

7Wario, The Wario Land Series
Wario was introduced to the world as the villain ofSuper Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins. He takes over Mario’s Castle, leading Mario to have to fight to get him out of it. Wario has since appearedin multiple platformers, as well as a spinoff series of micro-game compilations.

Wario tends to be a simple man with simple needs. He likes sleeping, lounging around, and eating. Katamari Damacyis essentiallyJapanese gaming culturein a nutshell. It follows the prince, the son of the King of All Cosmos, as he uses his sticky ball, called a Katamari, to roll up everything from birds to whole buildings to restore constellations in the night sky.

In reality, the Prince is only doing this because of his father’s revelry. He accidentally knocked all the stars out during a night of debauchery. He ought to be taking responsibility for his actions and taking care of the mess himself, but he has his son do all the hard work.
5Every Korok, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Not too much aboutThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildcan be said that hasn’t already been said. The game holds abeautiful, massive worldthat is almost endlessly explorable. It also has plenty of fun challenges, including puzzles to solve and enemies to combat.
Another side challenge ofBreath of the Wildis finding and collecting all 900 Koroks in the game. These leaf-masked creatures live leisurely lives, hiding in nooks and crannies throughout Hyrule. Several Koroks are on the Castle Hyrule grounds, where Zelda is desperately trying to contain the evil Ganon’s powers. One Korok is practically right next to Ganon, and all it does is float around carelessly, without doing anything to try to help Zelda.

4The Grunts, The Halo Series
TheHalogames are known for their epic battles against the forces of the alien race known as the Covenant. They include several unique species, ranging from the sniping Jackals to the heavy Brutes. Probably the most infamous and amusing speciesin the long line of gamesis the Grunts, who often flee from battle when things get tough.

When they are not fighting, they can be seen sitting around. InHalo 5: Guardians, one such Grunt can be found sitting on the edge of a platform in Mission 7, singing to himself, and holding one of the game’s hidden challenge skulls. If one were so inclined, they could easily kick the little guy off the ledge as if he were a football.
3The Coconut Salesman, No More Heroes
Travis Touchdown is on a quest to be the number one ranked assassin inNo More Heroes, which was originally an exclusive on Nintendo’s family-friendly Wii console. Becoming the best doesn’t come cheap, though, as Travis must complete various odd jobs in order to literally pay his dues.
One job he takes up is to collect coconuts for Santa Destroy’s local vendor, who has set up shop in the park. While selling coconuts requires its own work, getting the coconuts should not be a difficult task, since coconut trees surround the vendor. Maybe he just doesn’t want to leave his cart unmanned. Even still, he can just walk a few yards and shake the trees to get them.

Mila is a young girl who can be found on Windfall Island inThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, a remake ofthe gorgeous Gamecube gameon Nintendo’s Wii U. Her father is wealthy, and because of this, she has lived a life of privilege and has had a brusque attitude towards others.
When her father gives up all his worldly wealth to get his daughter back, she has to work to help keep the household afloat. Since she lived a life of privilege, she doesn’t take to work that well initially, even sneaking out at night to break open a safe. Thankfully, Link catches her in the act, and she finally decides to start taking responsibility for her actions.

1Meru Myoujou, 1BitHeart
1BitHeartsees shut-in Nanashi visited by a strange girl, Misane, who one day suddenly appears in his bed, with no memory of who she is. The game will see the two go on an adventure that will not only reveal more about the mysterious girl but also help Nanashi make some friends.
One potential candidate is a girl by the name of Meru Myoujou. She works at an apparel store, though she doesn’t do much in the way of work. She canbarely stay awakeor hold full conversations. However, she is grateful for her job, as it doesn’t make her, as she describes it, work “five hours or more” like “[o]ther slave-driving workplaces,” to which Nanashi replies, “Even a student can put up with longer hours than that.”
