Thecolorful substoriesof theYakuzaseries is what draws most fans in. InLike a Dragon: Ishin!, some of these substories might end up in Ryoma coming into contact with some strange civilians, and The Scented Water substory is a great example of one of these interesting scenarios.
After meeting the Lovestruck Woman in Fushimi, she will ask Ryoma to find a perfume being sold in Mukurogai, an area full of dangerous people. Here’s where players can find the seller and complete the substory.
Scented Water Substory Location
To unlock the Scented Water substory, players will need to visit theShinmachi region in Fushimi, in the southeast section of the map, with ariver fishing locationnearby. The above image shows exactly where you can find theLovestruck Womanon the map.
She will be standing right next to theboatmanthat can take players toMukurogai.Approach her, and she will talk about how there’s a perfume seller in Mukurogai that she wants to buy from, but she is scared to visit the dangerous region. After she provides Ryoma with the money to purchase the perfume, players will want toapproach the boatmandirectly next to the woman to arrive in Mukurogai.
Where To Find The Perfume Seller
Upon arrival in Mukurogai, players will need toseek out the perfume seller in the region.Follow these simple steps to locate him:
After the initial cutscene, players will be able to approach the perfume seller and a battle will ensue. The perfume seller will bewielding a sword,so the best method here is touse Ryoma’s swordas well.
Afterward, Ryoma will receive the perfume from the seller, but the story doesn’t end here. The perfume seller will suddenly profess his love for Ryoma, which will result in the player needing to escape. All that players will need to do is follow the map andreach the marked pink locationsto escape him. Ryoma can also usehiding spotsaround the area in case the seller is nearby. Eventually, players will return to the original location where they met the Lovestruck Woman. Ryoma will hand over the perfume to her, and the substory will wrap up here.
