While all heroes will have attack cards, some a just built to wreak havoc on the battlefield. There is some versatility to the offensive choices, but many of them struggle on the defense side of things, so using them as leads or paired with solid support will maximize their time on the field. Let’s review the best damage-dealing heroes inMidnight Suns.

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is an undeniable damage dealer and monster in battle, starkly contrasting Robbie Reyes’s carefree attitude. Players get access to Ghost Rider early on because he is a member of the Midnight Suns. Hiscards are predominantly offensiveand often guarantee an OHKO against most targets. For example, Hell’s Ride is a robust multi-target attack that, when upgraded, plows through enemies in a line. Hell’s Fury is another powerful attack card that gets a damage boost whenever Ghost Rider takes damage from a hit or ability.
Ghost Rider lacks in defense so pairing him with a support role or healing combat items is the best way to keep him active on the field. Unfortunately, some of his attack moves will also cause him damage to work, making him even more vulnerable. He does have a self-healing option with Drain Soul, which restores health equal to the amount of damage it deals. Drain Soul also functions as a chain attack, so multiple enemies will be affected.

Blade
Blade is a vampire turned vampire hunter and member of the Midnight Suns. He’s rough around the edges and not quick to trust others, but he’s afierce ally on the battlefield. His strong point is his ability to cause Bleed, an effect that continuously causes damage to the inflicted. Almost all of his attacks have Bleed, and his passive is Cold Blooded, so any damage-dealing hits could trigger Bleed. This is particularly useful against boss fights and the Fallen underneath Lilith’s spell.
Blade also has quite a few chain and Lifesteal attacks. His chain attacks are powerful; specifically, his card Daywalker can chain up to 4 enemies at once, and players will draw a new card for each KO. Lifesteal is an efficient way to regain health and is a secondary effect on a few of his cards.

Iron Man
Iron Man is a versatile damage dealer in Midnight Suns. Tony Stark is an essential character due to hisscientific work in the Forge, crafting upgrades for the heroes and the Abbey. Players will get to experiment with his powers during the opening tutorial, but he only joins the roster after the first mission. Iron Man uses mainly ranged attacks in battle, and he’s got excellent area coverage to hit multiple enemies at once with cards like Air Superiority and Hellfire Beam.
Additionally, Iron Man can play adecent offensive support roleif needed. He’s got multiple redraw cards and Free cards, so keeping the deck stacked with attack cards is easy. Iron Man also can apply Marked and Venerable to targets increasing his and his teammate’s damage.

The Hulk
Players only get a little time with the Hulk when he finally joins their side. Bruce Banner’s green alter ego is hinted at as one of the most powerful in the game that the Hunter will encounter. This is solidified when facing him in battle and being unable to KO him. When he finally comes around, he is an incredible powerhouse that does what Hulk does best. His cards are predominantly attack cards, and his passive ability, Rage, makes him OP.
Rage means that every time he takes damage, his offense increases and is reflected by a green Rage meter. Rage is depleted by one every time theHulk uses a Heroic or attack card, but building it back up doesn’t require too much work due to his cards with Taunt. Taunt makes him focus his attention using specific cards such as Challenging Roar, Gamma Kick, and Seismic Slam. He also won’t take injury after taking hit after hit, unlike the other heroes.

The Hunter
The Hunter can fit any role the player wants and has a mixture of offensive and support options depending on their light and dark alignment. Hunter is the most accessible hero to level up and work with since they are the main protagonist and will be on all the story missions and the general missions if chosen. Asthe Hunter gets stronger, their offensive cards increase in variety and damage, so players will have some serious firepower to work with.
Amassive perk of Hunter’s attack cardsis that many also have supportive qualities. For example, Holy Burst damages all enemies in an area and restores health to any allies in the same place. On the same note, Holy Spark can damage an enemy or heal an ally. However, one of their best cards is Bladestorm, which takes multiple enemies in an area and hurts them on top of knocking them back. This attack is particularly deadly if the battle course has many environmental items or obstacles. The only caveat with Bladestorm is that it costs 4 Heroism, so it must be played smartly and saved for the right moment.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions coming later.
