Marvel’s Midnight Sunshas rich roots embedded in occult witchcraft and mystic arts. But it also dabbles in light cartomancy, particularly in the game’s early marketing through influencer kits. These unique parcels arrived with creative tarot cards depicting each ofMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ playable characters, or at least those who were already revealed at that time. Tarot cards do not have any true significance in the game’s narrative, but tarot cards do contribute to its side activities and collectible hunting throughout the Abbey grounds.

Like much ofMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ optional exploration in the Abbey grounds, there are impediments to players’ progress that are navigated after having completed each Blood Gate. Blood Gates contain spells that the Hunter can use to access obscured paths or rewards, and tarot cards are often hidden in these areas. However, the game’s collectible tarot cards do not feature its playable characters, but a series of others that include intriguing name-drops as an entertaining nod to the rest of Marvel’s popular IP iconography.

Cloak and Dagger (Abbey Grounds)

Cloak and Dagger’s tarot card is found in the Abbey grounds near the Abbey itself. Cloak and Dagger’s tarot represents Temperance.

Moon Knight (the Forge)

Moon Knight’s tarot card is found in the Forge cavern. Moon Knight’s tarot represents the Moon, which is clear enough from his namesake. Indeed,many fans clamored forMoon Knightto joinMarvel’s Midnight Suns, and it is great to see him included here at all.

Nova (the Forge)

Nova’s tarot card is also found in the Forge cavern. Nova’s tarot represents the Star.

Johnny Storm (Abbey Grounds)

Johnny Storm’s tarot card is found in the Abbey grounds near the Abbey itself, at the edge of a small pond. The Human Torch’s tarot represents the Sun as “an abundance of energy, as well as optimism and joy.”

Namor (Whispering Wood)

Namor’s tarot card is found in the Whispering Wood. Namor’s tarot represents the Hermit.

Death (Agatha’s Altar)

Death’s tarot card is found in the bottom-left corner of the map, past Agatha’s Altar. Death’s tarot plainly represents Death.

She-Hulk (Agatha’s Altar)

She-Hulk’s tarot card is found behind Agatha’s Altar. She-Hulk’s tarot represents Justice in a nod to her career as a criminal defense attorney.

Domino (Agatha’s Altar)

Domino’s tarot card is found near Agatha’s Altar. Domino’s tarot represents the Wheel of Fortune.

Jean Grey (Stone Terrace)

Jean Grey’s tarot card is found at the Stone Terrace, near the Standing Stones. Jean’s tarot represents the High Priestess.

Thor (Abbey)

Thor’s tarot card is found inside the Abbey. Thor’s tarot represents Strength.
