Over the years,Minecraftplayers have become renowned for their ingenuity with their in-game creations. The game’s core concept is rooted in creativity, so it makes sense that this would be a defining trait of its community. With so many amazing creations out there, it takes something really special to stand out among the crowd at this point. The creation by Redditor GhostSilhoutte is creatively called “Sheep Saber,” and the similarities toBeat Saberare incredible. Players can pick their own music track using a music disk, and select their difficulty which affects the speed at which sheep come at the player. LikeBeat Saber, the sheep coming at the player are completely in time with the beat of the song, and must be hit with a sword in order to not fail. According to the Redditor, “Sheep Saber” uses over 3,000 command blocks to function.Command blocks inMinecraftcompletely changed the degree to which players could tinker with the game, with Redstone being the only alternative before they were introduced.

In the Reddit post, GhostSilhouette explains that “Sheep Saber” was completed entirely in vanillaMinecraft. There has actually been aMinecraft Beat Sabermodcreated before, however this being made in vanilla only makes the achievement much more impressive. Despite this, the modding community forMinecraftremains extremely strong, adding plenty of new content to Mojang’s already-expansive sandbox. Whether its small features or entire expansions, it seems as thoughMinecraftmods have something to offer every potential player.

Even twelve years after its initial release,Minecraftcontinues to be one of the most well-supported games out there. Mojang will soon be releasing the highly-anticipated1.20 update forMinecraft, which promises to be one of the biggest updates to the game in years. With the upcoming release ofMinecraft Legends, the series remains committed to expanding its horizons as it has done often over the years. It’s still a brilliant time to be a fan ofMinecraft, but it seems like there’s barely been a time when that hasn’t been the case.

Minecraftis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
