Summary

AMinecraftplayer has shared what they call a “simple” Dirt tower that includes an impressive amount of crops. Dirt is one of the first resources thatMinecraftplayers will receive, and this may be one of the most effective uses of the resource.

SinceMinecraftwas released, players have shared impressive builds, farms, Redstone mini-games, and more. Among these areplayable RedstoneTetris, a massive medieval city, and a starship fromStar Wars. While these creations often implement many different resources, some players have opted to use only a few types of blocks to make equally impressive builds. Dirt is an incredibly helpful block for farms, paths, and terraforming that’s overlooked by many gamers. One player has maximized the potential of Dirt by making a tower that could help players in the early levels of Survival get to the end game.

Reddit user Magic_Shrimp_2 recently shared eight images of their impressiveMinecraftDirt tower. The first screenshot spotlights the sheer size of the Dirt tower as it reaches over 100 blocks high and dwarfs other structures around it. Water and vines extend from the top of the Dirt tower to the bottom where it meets the ocean, allowing players to access each floor by climbing or descending. According to the Reddit user, this build is helpful until the point in which players collect enoughMinecraftRedstoneto make an automated farm.

What Crops Are Included in the Dirt Tower?

The layers of the farm, including Wheat, Glow Berry, Sugarcane, and Carrot, are created by placing Dirt blocks relatively close to water. Other resources featured in the build include Froglights, Glass, Glowstones, and a single Sign. The hardest of these to acquire may be the Glowstone as it’s typically found in the Nether ortraded for Emeralds byMinecraftVillagers. In one shot, the player can be seen standing in their farm, highlighting the size of one level of their Dirt tower. Given how helpful food is in Survival, this Dirt tower could be more effective in that game mode rather than Creative. Beyond what’s included in the Dirt tower, players could also grow Melons, Pumpkins, Sweet Berries, or trees.

As Dirt is easily acquired and can be quickly collected with an Iron or higher-value Shovel, this tower may be essential to Survival Seeds moving forward. AsMojang continues to updateMinecraft, more resources may be added to the game, but it’s unlikely that Dirt will ever be harder to collect than anything else.
