Much like the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita, thePlayStation 5offers a trophy system for completionists to make use of. Whether it be bronze, silver, gold, or the coveted platinum trophy, gamers can collect hundreds of awards across all the games that are currently on the platform. Crash 4: It’s About Time - Faster Than Sound

Crash 4: It’s About Timeis a strong successorto the original trilogy, with the beloved mascot’s grand return proving to be a truly satisfying adventure. However, like the others, the game can be incredibly difficult, and developer Toys For Bob pulled no punches when making the game’s trophy list. Specifically, “Faster Than Sound” is a nightmare, as it sees gamers needing to get Platinum Relics for every single time trial. With only Gold Relics required for the trophies in theN. Sane Trilogy, this is a cruel addition, and the fact that 38 of these trials exist only adds to the grind. Players cannot make a single mistake if they expect to earn this trophy, ensuring that perfect memorization of every level is required. With N. Sanely Perfect relics required for the difficult “Perfectionist” trophy as well, the platinum trophy is as impressive as it gets.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure - String It Together

Sackboy: A Big Adventureproved popular with fans, as theLittleBigPlanetprotagonist did a fine job making the jump to a proper platformer. While the game offers the usual level of difficulty from a game that is aimed primarily at a younger audience, itsplatinum trophy is deceptively hard. This is because of the trophy “String It Together,” which sees gamers needing to finish the final Knitted Knight Trial. The Knitted Knight Trials are amongst the hardest levels in the game, and the final Trial combines all 15 of them into a single stage. Worse, players need to get throughout the entire level without dying, and if they want the gold medal need for the trophy, it must be finished in under 10 minutes. This means they need to speed through the trial without stopping once, ensuring that perfect reflexes and complete memorization are needed to unlock the trophy.

Demon’s Souls - Sage’s Trophy

Realistically, anytrophy fromDemon’s Soulscould have made this list, as this FromSoftware game is a challenging endeavor for newcomers. Even for veterans, full completion of the game is needed, and “Sage’s Trophy” will likely be the last trophy acquired because of this. Unlocked by getting every magic spell, two playthroughs are required to get this achievement, meaning that gamers will need to endure all of Boletaria’s challenges twice. For everyone but the most experienced Souls fans, a guide will likely be required as well, as players need to rescue characters like Yuria to purchase all the different spells. With every boss and regular enemy in the game hitting hard and fast, only those that have masteredDemon’s Soulsand want the platinum trophy will unlock “Sage’s Trophy.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Reunited With Fidolina

Rounding out the list is none other than “Reunited with Fidolina” fromCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Despite only being a bronze, this trophy requires players tofinishDead Ops Arcade3— a brutal task that requires expert knowledge of the top-down shooter. Players need to get through 64 rounds to reach the Mamaback boss, with the final encounter being a tough affair. The entire process will require a three-hour time investment every time an attempt is made, and players will need to fight through brutally tough stages and mini bosses along the way. WhileDead Ops Arcade 3briefly had an Advanced Start playlist that gave solo players a fighting chance, it has since been removed, ensuring that this trophy will stay rare for the foreseeable future. Unless players have a skilled group to play with or are willing to sink dozens of hours into solo play so that they can learn the mode’s secrets, avoiding this trophy would be wise.
