Since its release not even a year ago,New Worldhas had a bit a mixed reception. At first,New Worldsoared to the top of the Steam Charts and broke records for the most-played game on the platform, but in the following months,Amazon’s MMOhas lost players at a pretty staggering rate. Some have pointed to the game’s lack of updates for the reason behind player abandonment, so hopefullyNew World’s Easter event update will bring a handful back to the game.
Starting on April 12 and lasting up until April 26,New Worldis hosting an Easter event named “Rabbit’s Revenge.” Players will need to scour Aeternum for crazed, Corrupted Rabbits, which will drop a variety of helpful items when defeated, ranging from luck boosters to storage upgrades.

New World’s Easter Event Explained
New World’s Easter event may be a little more paired back than its2021 Winter Convergence counterpart, but its addition is a welcome one. For seasoned players, this event is a nice change of pace, and for newcomers, this event is a great way to farm some useful luck items early on.
Finding Corrupted Rabbits acrossAeternumshould be an absolute breeze, as they’re said to crop up in just about every location where an enemy can be found. However, once the player gets too close, the rabbits will scatter, so they’ll need to use their compass effectively to track the little critters.
When a rabbit is successfully hunted down and killed, it has a chance to drop several key items. The most common item a rabbit can drop is a Rabbit’s Foot, whichincreases the player’s Luck statby a specific amount, determined by their level. If the player is already at max level, then a Rabbit’s Foot consumable increases their Luck by 5%.
As was the case with the previous Winter event,New World’s Easter event allows players to grab up to three Diamond Gypsum items per day. These crafting materials can be used to create a Gypsum Orb, which can in turn be used to fashion a Gypsum Cast. This Cast can be applied to a variety of gear, which increases itsExpertise level. Increasing the Expertise of a piece of gear means that subsequent drops of that type of armor will be of a higher gear score.
But by far the rarest drop that comes from this event is the Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare. This chest can be placed in a home, and increases a player’s storage by 1050 pounds. This will be a significant boost to just about any player’s storage, even if they’ve been playing since launch day. These chests seem to be an extremely rare drop and can only be claimed and placed once per character.
For players who are determined to find the Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare, there are a few tips that could help make the process a little less grind-y. First, players should equip any and all gear that they own that increases their Luck stat. This includesNew World’s armor sets and weapons.
Players should also consume some items that briefly increase Luck, which should increase the frequency that items drop. This will mean that more Rabbit’s Foot items will drop from the Corrupted critters, which in turn will increase the amount of drops from the subsequent rabbits killed. Eventually, after an unspecified amount of time grinding away killing rabbits,New Worldplayers should finally get their storage upgrade.
New Worldis available now on PC, and the Rabbit’s Revenge Easter event runs from April 12 to April 26.
