The Path of the Naaru is a new cosmetic hearthstone that is currently not available in game. Though it has no linked animation yet, it is clearly inspired by the celestial Naaru–the Light-infused beings strongly associated with the playable Draenei race. Given the connection, this toy could be a reward in an upcoming Heritage quest forthe Draenei inWorld of Warcraft’sfuture.

Recently,World of Warcrafthas been giving Heritage quests a lot of attention.DragonflightPatch 10.0.7 added Heritage quests for Orcand Human characters, and Patch 10.1 removed the reputation requirements to unlock all existing questlines. Right now, Draenei, Night Elves, Forsaken, Trolls, Pandaren, and the new Dracthyr race fromDragonflightare the only playable races without Heritage quests and armor, so it seems likely Blizzard will add them in the future.

If the Path of the Naaru toy is evidence of an upcoming Draenei Heritage questline, it would most likely arrive in Patch 10.1.7. Little is known about the patch besides the scant detailsWorld of Warcraftshared in its 2023 roadmap, but the “story & quests” bullet could easily include Heritage storylines. Even so, it is possible this Draenei-inspired toy could be made available through other means, such as through the in-game store or the Trading Post.

Either way, the potential for a Draenei Heritage questline has manyWorld of Warcraftfans excited. Historically, Heritage questlines have been some of the best storylines, and their accompanying armor sets and cosmetics have been popular. Many fans are eagerly waiting forWoWto add Heritage quests for the last few classes, and any hints to their arrival are appreciated. Hopefully,World of Warcraftwill confirm this rumored Heritage questline is real when it officially announces Patch 10.1.7 afterFractures in Timegoes live inDragonflight.
