The Revolutionary Army is among the most popular organizations in theOne Pieceworld. It was started by Monkey D. Dragon, who is Luffy’s father. Originally, he started anorganization called the Freedom Fighters. It was more focused on taking a peaceful approach toward the goal. However, Dragon decided to change things after witnessing the massacre in Ohara. He could not bear to see so many innocent people killed because of their desire to seek knowledge.

Upon his arrival in Ohara, Dragon met Vegapunk, who told him not to stray away from the primary goal. Following their meeting, Dragoncreated the Revolutionary Armyand managed to attract many strong fighters. The Revolutionary Army has no shortage of manpower, but it is the people at the top who can make a difference in big moments. Oda has already introduced most of the top fighters of the Revolutionary Army, but there were still some who hadn’t made their debut in theOne Piecemanga.

The Commanders

Dragon stands at the top of the command hierarchy of the Revolutionary Army. After him, Sabo is in charge, as he is the chief of staff. Considering Dragon is the most wanted man in the world, he cannot afford to go out and carry out all the missions. So, he needs reliable underlings who will follow his orders and verify that they don’t disappoint. Sabo and the other commanders have performed their roles spectacularly, which is a key reason behind the Revolutionary Army’s continued success. Sabo has carried out many important missions, such as in Dressrosa and Marijoa.

While Sabo is definitely powerful, the commanders of the Revolutionary Army are not to be trifled with. Karasu is the commander of the North Army, and he traveled with Sabo to Marijoa to rescue Kuma. Hepossesses the Susu Susu no Mi,which is a Logia-type Devil Fruit. It allows Karasu to create and control soot. From the looks of it, Karasu has great control over his ability, as he can use it to create objects such as crows.

Revolutionary Army Deputy Commanders

Lindbergh is the leader of the South Army. He is a member of the Mink tribe, and he seems to have a great scientific mind. This is evidenced by his ability to create new weapons without much effort. As a Mink, Lindbergh has access to Electro. Lindbergh can also use his Sulong form, which would significantly boost his physical abilities.

The East Army is led by Belo Betty, who is also a Devil Fruit user. She is the user of Kobu Kobu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that lets her rouse the fighting spirit in other people. Morley is a giant who is the commander of the West Army. She was a prisoner of Impel Down, but she escaped with the help of her Devil Fruit. Morley possesses the Oshi Oshi no Mi,a Paramecia-type Devil Fruitthat enables her to freely push and alter the shape of the ground. Due to its versatility, Morley can fight in both open and closed spaces.

Finally, there is Ivankov. He is one of the founding members of the Revolutionary Army, which makes him part of a special list. Ivankov leads the G-Army, which covers the entire Grand Line. He ate the Horu Horu no Mi, which grants him control over hormones. Ivankov can use this ability in various ways, making him a valuable ally. Given the achievements of the commanders, it is pretty clear that the Revolutionary Army is stacked and possibly doesn’t require any more help. However, in one of the recent manga chapters, Oda revealed that each commander has a subordinate who acts as a deputy commander or vice-captain.

The Deputy Commanders

There are a total of five deputy commanders, and it is fair to assume that they are also capable fighters. Starting with the North Army, which is overseen by Jiron in Karasu’s absence. He seems like a person who likes to gamble and doesn’t back down from a challenge. Jiron was introduced in Chapter 1082 alongside the other deputy commanders, where he could be seen eating a metallic object. It is currently unclear if it is related to his Devil Fruit powers. Jiron made a bet with Gambo, who is Lindbergh’s assistant. Gambo’s body is shaped like an egg, and he has a mustache. He is probably modeled after Humpty Dumpty, a popular character from a children’s rhyme.

Ahiru is Belo Betty’s subordinate, and she appears to have a prosthetic left arm. It is unknown if she lost the arm in battle or willingly replaced it to increase her combative abilities. The deputy commander of the West Army is Ushiano, which means that he is Morley’s junior. Ushiano is a cow Mink, so it is plausible to assume that he can use Electro. He should also have accessto Sulong transformationbut has yet to display it. The deputy commander of the G-Army is Inazuma. He possesses the Choki Choki no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to turn parts of his body into scissors. Inazuma was heavily involved in the Impel Down and Marineford arcs. With his Devil Fruit, Inazuma helped his allies get out of many tough situations. While the other four deputy commanders have not been involved in a fight yet, there is a high chance of them doing so in future arcs.
