With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, hero-shooterOverwatch 2is gearing up to release a dating sim game mode and more to celebrate the occasion. The firstOverwatchgame firmly established the hero-shooter’s seasonal event schedule, and so farOverwatch 2has stuck with the original game’s seasonal events. However, it looks likeOverwatch 2is starting to branch off a bit by introducing a Valentine’s Day event.
While theoriginalOverwatchdidn’t have much in the way of Valentine’s Day events,Overwatch 2is going all out. From February 13 to February 28,Overwatch 2players can check out the Loverwatch Dating Sim, a non-canon text-based game mode where players can try to romance Mercy or Genji with the help of a Cupid Hanzo. Anyone that manages to unlock the secret ending will be rewarded with a special Play of the Game highlight. Blizzard stressed that the Loverwatch Dating Sim is non-canon, in case anyone was wondering. Those interested can check it out through a web browser once it’s live, as it won’t actually be playable in theOverwatch 2game itself.

The Ultimate Valentine’s Event will then run from February 14 to February 28 with a 4v4Hanzo-themedlimited-time mode and special Support-themed challenges that let players earn new skins and rewards. Details on the Hanzo game mode have not been revealed at the time of this writing, but with theOverwatch 2Valentine’s Day event kicking off next week, fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out more about what’s in store. In the meantime, anyone that logs intoOverwatch 2while the Ultimate Valentine’s Event is live can claim a Cupid Hanzo skin for free.
While Blizzard’s focus is currently on the upcomingOverwatch 2Valentine’s Day event, fans were clued in on some other content that they can expect to see later in Season 3. ThePachiMarchi eventwill run from March 21 to April 4 with a Kill Confirmed game modes and the chance to win a variety of free rewards. Anyone that logs in during this particular event will get a special PachiMarchi Roadhog player icon for their efforts, with the chance to get the Epic Pachimari Roadhog skin by completing challenges that have yet to be detailed.
Needless to say, it looks likeOverwatch 2is going to have plenty of exciting content for fans of the hero-shooter to check out on Valentine’s Day and beyond. In the more immediate future,Overwatch 2is adding the Antarctic Peninsula mapalongside a big new update on February 7 to properly kick off Season 3.
Overwatch 2is out now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
