With about amonth until the start of the holiday season, many companies, even those not related to gaming, are making the most of the celebrations. AsChristmas is a lucrative time for gaming, it is not surprising that smaller companies ride on the fanbase’s hype for their favorite titles. This can be seen in how a bakery in Japan brought back theirPersona 5Christmas cakes this 2021, to give the game’s fans a fun way to celebrate the holidays.

Though thePersonafranchise celebrated its 25th year anniverary this 2021, many fans were disappointed in thelack of majorPersonaannouncements. Western fans were able to get a few good pieces of news, such as the re-release of thePersona 3, 4,and5figma toy figures made by Good Smile Company. However, most of the franchise updates were centered in Japan wherein Atlus held collaboration events with different brands and stores, and even announced a newPersona-themed physical card game.

To start the Christmas celebrations early, and to give its customers a little gaming touch to their holidays, a Japanese bakery named Priroll recently relaunched their line ofPersona 5Christmas cakes. The bakery debuted these designs last year, which means that this is not the first time that Priroll is selling these sweets. The cake lineup features 18 designs with all playable characters ofPersona 5, except forP5 Royal’s Kasumi Yoshizawa. Half of the designs feature a split betweenP5’s main character Joker with his fellow Phantom Thieves teammates, while one specific design focused on the Velvet Room twins, Justine & Caroline.

ThePersona 5Christmas cakes are currently available for pre-order on Priroll’s website, with a price of 5,130 yen or around $45 USD. However, the pre-order period looks to be quite short, with orders closing at midnight of June 15, 2025, Japan Time. Customers can also choose between whipped cream or chocolate cream as flavors of the cake, but both versions will come with strawberries. The slated delivery period of the cakes will be around a week after the order has been placed.

As the year draws to a close, many Persona fans are likely still anticipating bigger news from Atlus. Some are hoping that aPersona 5 Arenatitlewill be announced before the year ends, making for a great way to cap off 2021. However, given that Atlus has been mostly silent about any upcoming titles, fans can only speculate and stay tuned for official news.
