Such is the case for Murkrow, a Flying/Dark-Type Pokemon exclusive toPokemon Brilliant Diamondthat can have one of two abilities, with one being Super Luck. Super Luck increases the critical hit chance for all of the Pokemon’s moves, which in and of itself is quite big on attackers like Murkrow and its Dusk Stone-exclusive evolution,Honchkrow. Thus, a Reddit user by the name of tguO_o shared a post stating that they turned their Murkrow into a critical hit machine by giving it a Razor Claw, an item that has the same effect as Murkrow’s Super Luck ability.
This means that the Pokemon gets a total of +2 to their critical hit stages thanks to Super Luck andRazor Claw, according to another Redditor, explaining that normally critical hits occur once in 32 moves. With +1 to critical hit chance, they occur once in 8 moves, with +2 they happen every other move, and with +3 or more they are guaranteed to happen on every single hit. This makes Murkrow and Honchkrow incredibly strong inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl, although Honchkrow’s reduced speed may hurt its overall performance compared to its pre-evolution.
Evolutions are a tricky subject inPokemongames, considering that not all Pokemon do evolve and that some drastically change when they do.
