Summary

APokemonfan has recently made a new alternative Eeveelution, imagining what Eevee would look like after evolving into a Ground-type creature. Originally introduced inPokemon’s Gen 1, Eevee is one ofthe most popular Pokemon in the franchise, mostly due to its cute design and its wide variety of evolutions.

Eevee is the Pokemon with the most official evolutions in thePokemonfranchise, the so-called Eeveelutions. In Gen 1, it could only turn into the Fire-type Flareon, the Water-type Vaporeon, and the Electric-type Jolteon. The list was updated in the second generation with the Dark-type Umbreon and the Psychic-type Espeon. Then, the Ice-type Glaceon, and Grass-type Leafeon in Gen 4. The newest Pokemon on the list is the Fairy-type Sylveon, added in Gen 6.

Now, aPokemonfan called KikiMongoose- has decided to imagine a Ground-type Eeveelution. Named Arideon, KikiMongoose-’s creation is a cat-like creature and evolves when it is exposed to a red sand monolith from an Australian-inspired region, according to the beast’s lore. The creature’s design is pretty neat, and it has orange skin with brown and beige stripes. Unlike all official Eeveelutions, the creature’s long ears are not not standing up. The design also came with a shiny version, which has dark brown fur instead of orange.

Pokemon Fan Designs Arideon, A Ground-Type Eeveelution

Due to Eevee’s popularity, new Eeveelutions are a fairly common theme inPokemonfan art. For instance, one fan devised aRock-type evolution for Eeveelast year called Phareon. This new form was greatly inspired by Ancient Egypt, and it resembled a cat with royal Egyptian attire.

Another surprisingly cute drawing was showcased when a fan shareda Bug-type Eeveelutionearlier this year. This design stood out among similar creatures due to it being themed after ladybugs, having small wings, antennae, and big, round bug eyes.

While most fans who are interested in drawing Eeveelutions normally create new evolutions based on types that were never officially used, some other people have depicted them in different ways. For instance, a fanredesigned all Eeveelutions as babieslast year, coming up with an adorable result. These baby monsters looked like fluffier versions of the creatures and were even cuter than their original counterparts. WithPokemon Legends Z-Acoming up in 2025, it’s possible that Eevee may receive another official evolution. However, even if that does not happen, it’s certain that thePokemoncommunity will continue to create amazing new designs based on this popular critter.
