A newPokemon GOevent during the Season of Mythical Wishes will feature Pokemon that feature in fairy tales and wish for wings in the Pokemon lore. The Twinkling Fantasy event will see an increase in Fairy and Dragon-type Pokemon spawns and will debut a long-awaited Mega Evolution for a Dragon-type Pokemon.Pokemon GO’s Season of Mythical Wishes has featured a steady rollout of events to keep players interested. While in the middle ofPokemon GO’s New Year’s Event, details about the next event are already being revealed that will see the dreams of Pokemon like Bagon, whose Pokedex entry speaks of it wishing it could fly, come true while trainers wish for an abundance of encounters with shiny event Pokemon.RELATED:Pokemon GO Introduces New Pokemon With a Unique Way to Get ItThe Twinkling Fantasy event will bring increased spawns of Clefairy, Clefable, Togetic, Dratini, Bagon, Marill, Ralts, Vibrava, Dedenne, and Deino starting on January 10 at 8 AM local time. Lucky players may be able to find shiny Clefairy, Togetic, Dratini, Jigglypuff, Marill, Ralts, Dedenne, and Deino in the wild. Extremely lucky players will be able to find Goomy and Noibat and possibly even Noibat’s shiny in the wild as well. Curiously, there will be no wild Togepi andNiantic has taken the uncommon moveto make the shiny form of an evolved Pokemon, Togetic, a potential wild encounter.

The Twinkling Fantasy event will also see the debut ofMega Salamence inPokemon GO. The Dragon/Flying pseudo-legendary will award Mega Energy candy for defeating it, as is standard, and trainers may even get an opportunity at a shiny Salamence encounter. A collection challenge featuring the event Pokemon will also reward 50 Salamence Mega Energy candy. Other event rewards will include a surprise encounter with a random Dragon or Fairy Pokemon when players take snapshots, Double XP, additional candy, and a chance for Candy XL for Level 31 and up players that catch event Pokemon with Nice, Great, or Excellent throws.

One and Three-star raids during this time inPokemon GOwill mostly feature event Pokemon, but Axew in One-Star along with Druddigon and Mawile in 3-Star raids will be added to the pool. The Five-Star Raid will be Zekrom which has the potential to know or learn Fusion Bolt. Additionally, select Field Research tasks will reward players with more opportunities at shiny event Pokemon.

Events are rolling through one after another at the moment inPokemon GO. When the Twinkling Fantasy event ends on January 16, trainers only have a few days before theLarvitar Community Day Classic on January 20which will keep a presumably busy month inPokemon GOgoing.
