Players inPokemon GOcan now experience the game’s newest event: Searching for Legends. This event mostly focuses on the pure Rock-type Pokemon Nosepass, due to it being known as the compass Pokemon.

By spinning various PokeStops inPokemon GOduring the Searching for Legends event, players can get event exclusive field research tasks. These tasks all reward players with Pokemon encounters that have the chance to be shiny Pokemon.

The Searching for Legends event will be running from March 9th at 10:00 AM to March 14th at 8:00 AM in players' local times. While players can only receive the event exclusive field research tasks during the event, the tasks can still be completed after the event is over.

There are six different field research tasks that players can pick up during this event. These tasks and their rewards are:

All of these tasks will be easy to complete during the Searching for Legends event. This is due to many Ground, Rock, andSteel-type Pokemonhaving higher spawn rates in the wild and through the use of incense. Incense additionally can be purchased from the in-game shop or earned as a reward with certain special research tasks.

Nosepass is a pure Rock-type Pokemon that is weak to Steel, Ground, Fighting, Water, and Grass-type moves. It resists damage from Normal, Poison, Flying, and Fire-type moves. It can evolve into Probopass with the usage of 50 Nosepass candies while also being within range of an active Magnetic Lure. These lures can be earned through theSearching for Legends timed research tasks.

Roggenrola is also a pure Rock-type Pokemon with the same types weaknesses and resistances as Nosepass. It can evolve into Boldore, another pure Rock-type Pokemon, with 50 Roggenrola candies. Boldore can thenevolve into Gigalith, yet another pure Rock-type Pokemon, with 200 Roggenrola candies.

Shieldon is a dual Rock and Steel-type Pokemon, making it weak to Ground, Fighting, andWater-type moves. For resistances however, Shieldon resists damage from Dragon, Ice, Psychic, Fairy, Bug, Rock, Flying, Normal, and Poison-type moves. It can evolve into Bastiodon with 50 Shieldon candies.

Finally, Skarmory is a dual Steel and Flying-type Pokemon with no evolutions or pre-evolved forms. It is weak to only Fire and Electric-type moves while resisting Ground, Dragon, Psychic, Normal, Steel, Flying, Fairy, Grass, Bug, and Poison-type moves.
