APokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer decided to bake a batch of delicious, holiday-based gingerbread treats in the shape of the new Pokemon called Clodsire. The player then posted their precious pack of party snacks on social media, to the delight of otherPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers.
As one of the new Pokemon introduced in the ninth generation, Clodsire evolvesfrom a Paldean Wooperstarting at level 20, the same level as its counterpart Quagsire. Like the original Wooper and Quagsire, the Paldean Wooper and Clodsire can be found all over the Paldea region near water and in swamp-like environments. However, unlike its Johtonian predecessors, both Paldean Wooper and Clodsire are Poison/Ground dual-type Pokemon. Though it does not sport a common type combination, a Clodsire can make for a valuable team member in the early parts of the game, particularly against Gym Leader Iono and her Electric-type Pokemon, and sports excellent special defense to compensate for its slow speed.

A Redditor by the name of HannahAround posted their tasty recreation of Clodsire in the form of gingerbread treats in the form of a short video that was also shown on their Instagram page. The 11-second video showed that each of these Pokemon-themed treats was adorned with a slab of chocolate to cover the top side and the tail of the Spiny Fish Pokemon, and some white frosting was also used for the spots on Clodsire’s back. Thankfully, none of the treats boreany of the Poison-type tendenciesthat Paldean Wooper and Clodsire do inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
HannahAround baked and shaped eight Clodsire treats and put them inside a cotton-filled gift box for safekeeping, and showed. It is not known how much gingerbread, or how many other ingredients, were used in the creation of the treats. The Reddit post received over 163 upvotes within the first six hours of going live. The comments section gave HannahAround props for her creation, with one comment stating that they would feel bad if they ate any of the Clodsire treats. Though Clodsire is not in the same sphere as Quagsire in terms of popularity, it remainsa strong regional variant Pokemonfor those that want to use it on their teams.
ThoughPokemon Scarlet and Violetremain riddled with glitches and problems, some of which have beenput into montages byPokemonplayers across social media, the games remain a constant source of entertainment (and baking inspiration) for gamers around the world.
