Gameplay has now been shown for each playable character inGotham Knights’ Bat Family. Batgirl and Red Hood have yet to receive their own individualGotham Knightscharacter spotlights, but until those are shared, fans can still look back at the two gameplay walkthroughs presented to see what their traversal and combat looks like.

Many fans were unhappy with how unpolishedGotham Knightslooked in its gameplay walkthrough for Nightwing and Red Hood, particularly because it is now a next-gen exclusive game and others before it have arguably looked better. However,Robin’s character spotlightturned heads and proved thatGotham Knightsmay be up to standard upon release. For now, fans have shared which characters they plan to play as most whenGotham Knightsreleases in October.

Redditor u/Cultural-Ad-4745 posted a poll that ended earlier today asking fans which ofGotham Knights’ playable protagoniststhey plan to main. Based on this poll, the order of characters that fans are excited to play as from most to least is Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, and lastly Batgirl. Interestingly, Nightwing is not backed up in the comments of the poll as much as some other characters, who fans defend soundly. Dedicated Batgirl mains, for example, argue her gameplay will be most similar to Batman’s from theBatman: Arkhamfranchise due to her exclusive ability to cape-glide.

Robin fans have grown exponentially since the character’s spotlight trailer and an associated video of extended combat that details certain attacks and mechanics that Tim Drake has. This footage appears to be much more polished than the footage shown in earlier gameplay walkthroughs, earning the character more of a following since he may be more reliably designed or developed.

Fans may very well be answering this poll with these characters themselves in mind, and not their gameplay. Dick Grayson is incredibly popular and well-known, as opposed to Jason Todd, and fans may be excited about what they have seen fromGotham Knights’ iteration of Nightwingso far. Rather, WB Games Montreal’s controversial depiction of Barbara Gordon has since been rectified, but that hiccup may be enough for fans to lose interest in her character.

Regardless of whatever reasons fans have to be excited about certain Bat Family characters, these opinions may shift continuously and rapidly beforeGotham Knightslaunches. Once Batgirl and Red Hood are shown off in their own spotlights, a new poll may determine that fans are much more excited about them than they are now, and it will be interesting to see if Nightwing gets dethroned in the future.

Gotham Knightsis scheduled to release on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
