With PS Plus Extra, fans will be getting what amounts to an extended PS Plus Collection with a ton of PS4 games and maybe some PS5 games. With PS Plus Premium, fans will be getting a library of PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 games that is equal to 700+ games. But for those who don’t want to pay extra, they will still be getting two games (at least, hopefully) with just the standardPS PlusEssential tier.

PS Plus Free Games for June 2022 - Demon’s Souls Remake

Demon’s Souls Remakewould be good for the service, assuming it is not part of PS Plus Extra (at least at first).Sony has confirmed the Extra tierwould gain access toDeath Stranding, God of War, Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and more—not much has been said aboutDemon’s Souls. It certainly could be there, but if not, then it should lead the PS Plus free games on the Essential Tier to show Sony still cares about the most basic tier of service.

Not to mention, Souls games are entirely in focus right now. WithElden Ring’s release (and many coming to an end with it), just as many may be looking at other games to play as part of “FromSoft Summer.” There are quite a few choices to followElden Ringwith, likeBloodborne, Sekiro, or any of theDark Soulsgames, but that choice would already be made for players ifDemon’s Souls Remake, a PS5 launch exclusive, dropped on PS Plus.

PS Plus Free Games for June 2022 – Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight

Unfortunately,PS Plus Collection just took a huge hit with the removal ofPersona 5. This game is perhaps the most definitive JRPG on PlayStation, but there might be a way to give it a more proper sendoff in June. A couple ofPersonagames have graced the PS Plus service, includingPersona 4 Arena Ultimaxand Persona 5 Strikers, and it would be a nice homage to bring in anotherPersonagame for the Essentials Tier in June.

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlightis anotherPersona 5spin-off, much likeStrikers. It is a PS4 rhythm game, and it’s very similar toPersona 4: Dancing All Night. Characters will perform songs in some ofPersona 5’s most notable story locations, with character interactions taking place in the Velvet Room.

One could argue that a rhythm game may not be the best choice for PS Plus, but it’s certainly better than some ofPS Plus’ free games in May and April. ThePersonaaspect ensures that many will be happy to check it out, as it is a beloved and intense series of games.
