It would greatly boost the value of the PS VR2 ifgames likeWipeoutwere eventually ported to the upcoming headset. Without these ports, many gamers will miss out on a plethora of stunning titles.

Wipeout 2048
Wipeoutis a franchise that has been a staple on PlayStation, as it flexes the graphical prowess of the consoles it is on, and it provides high-speed, futuristic fun.Wipeout 2048was originally released on the PlayStation Vitain 2012, and it impressed gamers by bringing the franchise’s neon-lit excitement to a portable console. In 2017, it was ported to the PS4 as part of theWipeout Omega Collection. There, the game can also be played using the PS VR.
Wipeout’s high-speed, sense-overloading races are made even more immersive when players are in VR mode, as they feel like they have been put into the cockpit of their favorite antigravity ship. The mode can cause motion sickness for some players, especially when stunts are performed. However, if players can stomach the breakneck speeds, the experience is nothing short of amazing. Upgrading the game to PS VR2 would allow developers to enhance graphics, making the racing experience even more exhilarating.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission

Having a similar game for the PS VR2 would be a great way to introduce the headset to gamers, andAstro Bot Rescue Missionwould be the perfect game for it.
Astro Bot Rescue Missionis a platformer where players are tasked with rescuing all of Astro’s friends. To help, players can use various gadgets, including a water gun, shurikens, and a slingshot. If the game was ever ported to the upcoming headset, it could be upgraded to implement some of thePS VR2’s unique features, including haptic feedbackon the controllers and the headset itself.

Dreams
Developed by Media Molecule,Dreamsis a unique title available on the PS4. Instead of featuring a storyline or set characters,Dreamsgives players the tools to craft their own adventures. Since its release in 2020, there has been plenty of jaw-dropping user-generated content made. Some of it is based on existing IPs, while others introduce entirely new ideas. After its release,Dreamsreceived a PSVR update, allowing gamers to flex their creativity even more. It would be great to have the game ported to the PS VR2. However, according to Media Molecule, there aren’t currently any plans to do so.
Thanks to the headset’s improved technology, gamers are in for a next-gen VR experience. Despite the lack of backward compatibility, thePS VR2’s launch line-upis nothing short of phenomenal.
