Many people in Liyue know Qiqi as Baizhu’s little zombie assistant at the Bubu Pharmacy, but there’s more to her than first meets the eye. As well as being an excellent healer, acharacter with deep mysterious lore, and one of the largest sources of memes in theGenshin Impactcommunity, Qiqi is also a zombie resurrected by the Adepti!
Qiqi is also one of the 5-star characters available onGenshin Impact’sstandard banner, resulting in a lot of players with a character that needs ascensions and talent upgrades in order to really shine. Here is everything players will need in order to ascend Qiqi.
Leveling Materials
Like every character before and after her, Qiqi will require a certain amount of Mora and EXP to level up. This amount is the same withevery character inGenshin Impact, meaning that players will need to prepare thoroughly to ensure they have enough resources to level up their characters. Qiqi requires the following items to level up:

Qiqi Ascension Items
In addition to leveling up, players will also need to ascend Qiqi to reach max level. To do this, they’ll need to collect a variety of differentmaterials found around Liyue.Here is everything players will need to fully ascend Qiqi.
Ascension #1 at Character Level 20
Ascension #2 at Character Level 40
Ascension #3 at Character Level 50
Ascension #4 at Character Level 60
Ascension #5 at Character Level 70
Ascension #6 at Character Level 80
Gemstones - Shivada Jade
Depending on the character’s element, they’ll need different gemstones to ascend. Qiqi will need Shivada Jade for each ascension. Shivada Jade can be obtained by defeating the following:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Shivada Jade when they’re aligned with Cryo.

Enemy Drop - Samachurl Scrolls
Unlike many of Qiqi’s other ascension materials, her enemy drop is one of the easiest to obtain in large numbers. Qiqi uses Scrolls, which can be obtained from any type of Samachurl.
Players can expect to collect a lot of these naturally just by playing the game. For those looking to speed up the process though, Stormterror’s Lair is a good place to fight a lot of Samachurls.
Boss Drop - Hoarfrost Core
Every characterrequires a boss dropto ascend, which often proves to be one of the more difficult items to collect. Luckily for Qiqi users, she needs Hoarfrost Cores to ascend, which is an easy one to obtain. Players can collect Hoarfrost Cores by defeating the Cryo Regisvine.
Local Specialty - Violetgrass
One of the most difficult parts of ascending Qiqi is the need for Violetgrass. The most difficult local specialty to find for some players, Violetgrass can be found sparsely on the side of cliff sides in Liyue, especially in the mountainous west. They can also be bought from Herbalist Gui and Verr Goldet.
Qiqi Talent Materials
In addition to leveling up, players will also want to upgrade Qiqi’s talents. These will require some unique items different from the ones used for ascensions, including talent books, trounce materials, and Crowns of Insight.
Talent Level 9 -> 10 (max)
Talent Books - Prosperity
Qiqi represents theprosperity of Liyueand the Gift of the Adepti, which is largely the reason for her using Books of Prosperity for her talent upgrades. Players can obtain Books of Prosperity from the Taishan Mansion domain on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials
After level 6, players will also need to collect Trounce Materials to upgrade Qiqi’s talents. She uses Tails of Boreas, which can be obtained from theWolf of the North domainin Wolvendom.
