Rainbow Six Siegerevealed the roadmap for its second season, New Blood, featuring multiple nerfs, quality-of-life changes, and two new Operators. As for the bad news, Alexander Karpazis, thecreative director ofRainbow Six Siege, explained that although the Reputation System was set to release in alpha, it will not be included in the Season 2 launch. The developers are still gathering feedback and improving the mechanics. Regardless, fans can look forward to an exciting and game-changing season, as Ubisoft Montreal has promised significant positive changes, starting with two new Recruit Operators.

In a detailed YouTube video,Rainbow Six Siegeannounced the roadmap for Season 2, featuring Striker and Sentry, two new Recruit Attacker and Defender Operators. Players can customize these non-specialized characters to fit their specific gameplay needs, creatinggreat Operator combos inRainbow Six Siege’s META. Striker can carry a Stun Grenade, Frag Grenade, Impact EMP Grenade, Hard Breach charge, Smoke Grenade, Breach Charge, and Claymore. Sentry can have an Impact Grenade, Deployable Shield, Barbed Wire, Proximity Alarm, Bulletproof Camera, Observation Blocker, and Nitro Cell.

However, the biggest change to the metagame is Season 2’s aggressive nerf of two of thebest Defenders inRainbow Six Siege, Fenrir and Solis. Solis’ goggles will no longer function during the prep phase, and their range and durability are reduced. Fenrir’s gadgets are also being nerfed, with his mines reduced to four and his codes to two. Additionally, Fenrir’s F-NATT Dread Mines will no longer be bulletproof, adding another layer of challenge to deploying them.

After the bigchanges inRainbow Six Siege’s Operation Deadly Omen,Year 9’s Season 2 is set for live release on June 11. Players can join the test server starting next week. The live release will feature new Operators, Fenrir and Solis nerfs, membership launch, a standard multiplayer playlist, stadiums update, new caster cards (spectating HUD), Endless Drill mode, anti-cheat changes, and Attrition arcade mode. The rest of the updates will roll out throughout the season.
