Rumors have been swirling around Capcom and whether or not the company would be makingannouncements at the annual Jump Festa celebrationlater this month. The company is scheduled to be there with demos forMonster Hunter World: Iceborneand theMega Man Zero/ZXcollection but fans are hoping for a bit more. It’s unknown ifResident Evilwill be at the show, but more leaks regarding upcoming projects have hit the internet.

Once again being posted by Nibellion on Twitter, the latest Capcom leak surrounds theResident Evilfranchise. According to the post, The box at for Capcom’sProject Resistancehas surfaced depicting the six main characters with the mastermind lurking above them. Not only that, the art also appears to confirm the final game title asResident Evil Resistance, which makes sense considering the link tot he franchise as well as the code name beingProject Resistance.

While fans should ultimately take this leak with a grain of salt considering Capcom has not officially confirmed it, the image does appear to have a few things which may make this leak credible. The font used in the image looks remarkably similar to other games in the series including the art work forResident Evil 3.

In fact, Nibellion also reported that the long rumored and teasedResident Evil 3 Remakecover art appeared on PSNin what was likely an accident. As fans can see in both images, the font work looks nearly identical.

It’s likely that Capcom is planning to reveal one, if not both, games relatively soon. It’s entirely likely that Jump Festa will have an announcement or two, but for a mega franchise likeResident Evil, it’s possible that the event isn’t high profile enough. However, withThe Game Awards also happening soon, Capcom could always opt to revealResident Evil 3 Remakethere as well as a newResident Evil Resistancetrailer.

With both games, Capcom could likely satisfy all kinds of gamers.Project Resistanceis something that is tapping into a different fanbase who may not enjoy the survival horror of the mainline series of games likeResident Evil 3. Instead,Project Resistancefocuses more on 4v1 multiplayer seen in games likeFriday the 13thorDead by Daylight.Four players work together to survive and escape theResident Evilthemed locations while the solo Mastermind player attempts to take them all out usingZombies and other creatureslike Mr. X from the franchise.

Project Resistanceis in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
