Reverse 1999is a strategic RPG gacha game developed by Bluepoch. The game was initially released inChinain May 2023, and after undergoing some changes, wasreleased globallyin October 2023. One of the aforementioned changes was a quality-of-life improvement on how long the game takes to reroll, allowing players to attempt better gambling rolls in a much shorter amount of time. This guide will cover the various ways to reroll, as well as what players should seek when attempting their rolls.
The most important thing to note before discussing rerolling is that players will want aphone or emulatorto do so, as the PC client will require a reinstall with each reroll attempt. to reroll on a phone, players will need to utilize an email trick known as salting. Players can create a salted email by adding a “+(letters and numbers)” line into their email address after the normal email but before the “@gmail.com.” For example, Bob@gmail.com would become Bob+123@gmail.com. Despite the game recognizing this as a separate email address, the emails will still go to Bob@gmail.com.

Reroll Method #1: Beginner Banner
The first reroll method will have the player attempting to reach the guaranteed 6* unit on the beginner banner. This guaranteed unit will drop within the first 30 Unilogs (summons) on the beginner banner. The three units that can drop from this banner are Star unit Lilya, Ground unit Eternity, and Star unit Regulus. All of these characters are considered amazing by the community and they will carry players throughout the game with no issues.
This reroll method will take around 30 to 40 minutes per reroll. Players are advised to skip the story whenever possible (the skip button is located in the top right corner during story segments).

After reaching stage 1-4 and claiming the pre-registration rewards in the mail, the player will already have 11 of the necessary summons. If the first 10 pull does not net the beginner banner 6* unit, continue playing the story. The player will be awarded 10 more summons at both account level 3 and account level 5, fulfilling the 30 pull requirement to guarantee a 6* unit.
The best case scenario on this banner is that the player either get a 6* unit early (in the first 10 or 20 summons), gets multiple 6* units (this is only possible if multiple drop in one 10 pull, as the banner will disappear afterward), or gets the desired unit of their choice. If none of these happen, the player may want to attempt another reroll.
Reroll Method #2: Limited Banner
The second reroll method will have players avoiding the beginner banner for the time being. This reroll method is much faster but may require many more attempts, as the goal is to get a 6* unit within the first 10 summons received from pre-registration rewards. Players who get a 6* unit via this method will not lose out on the beginner banner as it can be returned to later.
Once again, players are going to want to skip the story and complete up to stage 1-4. From here, the rest of the required summons will be in the mail. Once earned, players should complete a 10 pull and see if they manage to pull a 6* unit (or specifically the one they want). If not, it is time to start over! Players should keep in mind that the drop rate of a 6* unit in any given reroll using this method is only 1.5%.
For this method, which banner the player chooses to pull on is entirely up to them. It is recommended to pull on the limited rate-up banner if the player has any interest in the character currently rated up as the standard and limited banners do not share pity. There is a 50% chance the player will not win the rated-up character and will instead get a character from standard regardless. Players can choose to repeat this method until they are awarded the player of their choice, but be warned that the odds are against you and that may take a long time.
Should Players Reroll?
As previously mentioned, the beneficial part of playingReverse 1999via the global client is that rerolling was made much faster and easier. However, rerolling should only be done if the player is really invested in getting a specific character or element. The characters inReverse 1999are all viable for the game’s content and chasing meta is not required. If players do opt to reroll, either option or banner will result in a good character. Once again, earning a 6* unit from the limited-time banner will not make players lose out on the beginner banner.
