The Walking DeadCreator Robert Kirkman has adapted another one of his comic books to TV format. Kirkman’s comic bookInvinciblejust released itsanimated adaptation on Amazon Prime Video, with the first three episodes airing on March 26 and the rest of the first season releasing weekly.Invinciblefollows Mark Grayson, a teenage superhero discovering his powers with the help of his superhero father, Omni-Man.
Many fans may have been unaware of the comic book before the TV show adaptation, but now many fans are rushing to see the show and read the comics. SinceInvinciblehas been an instant hit with fans andAmazon Primeusers, Kirkman reveals he has more plans for the title.

During an AMA on Reddit, Kirkman responded to a fan who admitted they had never heard ofInvincible, but is now watching the show and wants a video game adaptation. Kirkman answered with a simple, “TRYING!” However, since Kirkman has enjoyed a success with his involvement inThe Walking DeadTelltale series, it can be assumed that Kirkman is serious about the response and may actually make anInvinciblevideo game happen.
Kirkman does have a lot on his plate currently. The writer is not only involved with theInvincibleTV adaptation, but is also collaborating with Striking Distance onTheCallisto Protocol, working on the final season ofThe Walking Deadon AMC, and is planning morespin-offs forThe Walking Deadwhen the final season winds down. However, Kirkman may be able to fit in making a video game adaptation ofInvincible, especially sinceThe Walking Deadhas been able to successfully branch out into different mediums.
Kirkman is also the owner and founder ofSkybound Games, which stepped in and finished the last two episodes ofThe Walking Dead: The Final Seasonwhen Telltale Games shut down. Skybound Games could be at the center of a video game adaptation ofInvincible, especially since the company was created to develop games based on the IPs owned by Skybound Entertainment.
TheInvincibleanimated TV show boasts a star-studded cast. Not only do formermembers ofThe Walking Deadseries make up the original team of heroes known as The Guardians of the Globe, but formerWalking Deadactor Steven Yeun plays the main character Mark Grayson. JK Simmons and Sandra Oh also round out the main cast as Grayson’s parents. While the show continues the first season, fans can possibly look forward to a video game adaptation ofInvincible.
