Fortnitehas been surrounded by a lot of excitement lately. Chapter 2 Season 5 of Epic Games' hit battle royale has brought players a plethora of crossovers, froma skin based onHalo’s Master Chiefto loads of content fromThe Mandalorian. However, as Season 5 wraps up with less than a day to go until the start of Chapter 2 Season 6, fans are speculating as to what the new season could bring.
Fortnitehas become notorious for teasing its fans about upcoming events, skins, and more, so it came as no surprise when the game’s official Twitter account began posting teasers for Season 6. The clips featured a variety of images accompanied by new “Reality logs” fromFortnite’s Agent Jones, but fans have noticed that an image in one of the new teasers could reveal the addition of the Black Drum Shotgun to the game.

AlthoughFortniteis most popular for its free-to-play battle royale mode, the game initially released with aPvESave the Worldmode,which saw players work together to build forts and use traps to fight off massive hordes of zombies. One weapon exclusive toFortnite: Save the Worldis the Black Drum Shotgun, and fans have noticed that part of it appears briefly in a new Chapter 2 Season 6 teaser.
By piecing together some of the images fromanother Season 6 teaser,fans have made out the Black Drum Shotgun fromSave the World. In the PvE mode, the Black Drum Shotgun is lethal, firing shells in two-round bursts, dealing 87 damage at point blank range, and reloading in 2.8 seconds. While these stats are forFortnite: Save the World, it will be interesting to see how that might translate over to battle royale.Fortnite’s PvE mode includes a variety of features and weapons not in battle royale, though it’s worth noting that some things like the Laser Pick Pickaxe and a Penny skin have been added.
The new teasers for Chapter 2 Season 6 have also seemingly shown references to pastFortnitetrailers and events, as well as hint at askin inspired by Brazilian soccer player Neymar. Twitter user IShadowHenchmen also pointed out that what seems to be an updated version of the Brood Slicer pickaxe fromSave the Worldmay also be coming to the battle royale mode.
With only a few more hours to go, fans will soon know what exactly Season 6 is going to bring them. The new season will kick off with aZero Crisis Finale eventfocusing on Agent Jones' mission, premiering March 16 at 1:00 a.m. PST.
