Summary
Genshin Impactseems to be changing its banners for Version 4.3, as a reliable source leaked that two completely different characters would get a rerun sooner than anticipated. Many players inGenshin Impact’s community have been calling Version 4.3 the “Geo” patch, as not only will it introduce the 5-Star Geo Claymore Navia, who has become very popular among fans, but it was also slated to rerun Albedo and Itto, two strong-but-niche 5-Star Geo characters. Given thatGenshin Impact’s Version 4.2closed out Fontaine’s Archon Quests, the next patch was meant to focus on new artifacts, quality-of-life changes, and Story Quests.
However, what made it so exciting for the community was the potential of HoYoverse breathing some new life into theGeo element inGenshin Impact, which has remained somewhat neglected since Sumeru introduced Dendro to the game. Navia’s ability kit, specializing in Crystallize reactions, excited players over the possibility of pairing her with Albedo, and Itto’s rerun meant that the 4-Star Geo Bow character Gorou would also make an entrance – which is why those players will be disappointed by the recentGenshin Impactleak.

Albedo And Itto Will Not Rerun in Version 4.3
According to Waffel, one of the oldest and most reliableGenshin Impactsources in the leak community, the event banners for Version 4.3 have been changed as follows: the first half will feature Navia and Ayaka, while the second half will feature Raiden and Yoimiya. Given that Version 4.4 is slated to debut Cloud Retainer, as well as focus on Liyue 5-Stars such as Xiao, Shenhe, and Ganyu, it may be some time until Itto and Albedo become available toGenshin Impactplayers again.
While this is certainly a disappointment to those who wanted to obtain Albedo, the flip side is that they now have time to stock up on Primogems after obtaining Navia. Furthermore, Navia’s signature weapon (a two-handed axe) will run with Mistsplitter Reforged, considered to be thebest Sword weapon inGenshin Impact. Conversely, the highly coveted Engulfing Lightning will run with Thundering Pulse, making Version 4.3 one of the best weapon patches in recent memory.

Version 4.3 will also debut a new 4-Star character toGenshin Impact, the Pyro Spear user Chevreuse. Considering that her kit is designed for Overload teams in mind, players can expect to see her in Raiden and Yoimiya banners during the version’s second half. Fans who want to obtain Ayaka have around five weeks left to save up on their Primogems, and thenew Misty Dungeon event inGenshin Impactshould help them achieve that goal.
