Varren Ovrin, the Venomancer, is one of the named Mages inSalt and Sacrifice, and players can initiate his hunt from within Ashbourne Village’s Stonehall Dungeon. This Mage hunt plays out much like the others that are featured in the game, and fans will earn the ability to farm the Venomancer inSalt and Sacrificeafter their first kill. That said, some players may be uncertain about where to find Varren Ovrin after their initial hunt, and this guide is here to shine some light on the matter.
Salt and Sacrifice: Varren Ovrin Farm Location
Players that are attempting to farm the Venomancer inSalt and Sacrificeshould begin at the preliminary spawn point in Ashbourne Village. From this location,Souls-likefans should make their way to the left and enter the first cave that they encounter. This cave is theRoot-Ceil Cavern, and players should navigate to itsbottom-left corner, where they will find Ovrin fighting a challenging enemy with a halberd.

To note, if aSalt and Sacrificeplayerdoes not find the Venomancer in this location, it is recommended that they dispatch some other Mages on the map. Indeed, this action seems to cause Ovrin to appear, and fans may want to target the Pyromancer, who typically spawns several screens to the right of Ashbourne Village’s starting point, first. Unfortunately, this recommendation will slow a player’s Venomancer farming down considerably, though they will at least be earning other components along the way.
With all of that said, when the Venomancer is finally located, players should proceed to enact the standard approach tofarming Mages inSalt and Sacrifice. That approach is simply to damage the enemy when it is possible to do so, while watching carefully for the direction of its teleportation. When that teleport occurs, fans must chase after the Venomancer, and his typical route seems to take him above the Root-Ceil Cavern before he starts traveling to the right of the level’s spawn point.

After repeating this process numerous times, players will be able to extract Ovrin’s heart and collect his valuable materials. Fans can then return toPardoner’s Vale inSalt and Sacrificeand turn those materials into the equipment that they are interested in. This assumes that the player has obtained all the components that they need on their secondary kill, and those fans that have not may need to head back to Ashbourne Village and engage the Venomancer in Root-Ceil Cavern once again.
Salt and Sacrificeis available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
