Reddit user ecola_sup recently posted a video to theSkyrimsubreddit that shows players how to lag into The Companions Guild in Whiterun, which allows them to steal valuable items from a chest without being caught. Fans ofThe Elder Scrollsfranchisehave been doing this inSkyrimfor years, though it has always been incredibly tedious. Previously, players would have to glitch through the walls of Whiterun, from outside the city before they could hop and lag their way through the town to the chest. Ecola_sup did it with only an iron pot.
Indeed, this new way of stealing The Companions' items seems much more effective. The chest is hidden beneath the blacksmith’s forge in Whiterun. The Reddit video shows that, by pushing a pot through the stone surrounding the forge, it is possible for players to simply drop onto the chest. This allows players to easily steal from The Companions like never before, something that isn’t possible with other guilds likethe Dark Brotherhood inSkyrim. In fact, this strange strategy for faster theft can makeThe Elder Scrolls 5simpler for players at early levels. Having access to good gear makes the title infinitely easier at the start.
