Having the ability to detect hidden, covered, or concealed enemies is a crucial skill in many RPG games. However, inStarfield, the main character’s scannerfalls short when it comes to revealing enemies behind walls. As a result, players have been searching for workarounds and even mods to address this issue. Fortunately, though, the game does offer an X-ray-vision abilitythat lets players see through walls. It’s just not immediately available in their inventory.

Similar to acquiring other skills, the wall-penetrating visioninStarfieldmust be earned through XP grinding and progress in the main missions. This guide will outline each necessary step to obtain the specific Powers that enable players tosee through walls and expose all enemies, aliens, and other living forms.

How to See Enemies Through Walls

To see enemies through obstacles, players will need tounlock the Sense Star Stuff Power. The Power will bind them with the particles of creation, allowing them to sense the life force of humans, aliens, and even Starborn when they’re behind walls.

TheSense Star Stuff is a 15-Cost wall-penetrating visionthat marks hidden enemies. Note that the effect is temporary, and the enemies won’t be marked afterward. However, as players rank up this Power, its effective radius expands, exposing an even greater number of creatures with each use.

How to Get the Sense Star Stuff Power

To get the x-ray vision inStarfield, players will need to complete the Temple Chi puzzle. For that, they must firstadvance the story up until the Into the Unknown missionand then trace Artifacts through the Power From Beyond quests.

The location of the temple is randomized. However, players are likelier to find it after retrieving its Artifact duringthe Revelation questline.

How to Mark Enemies

InStarfield, players shoulduse a Recon Scope or Laserto mark down enemies. Additionally, they canunlock the Targeting skill from the Combat tree. At rank 4, this skill will mark up to four enemies within a 100-meter radius.

Unlike the Sense Star Stuff Power, the ability to mark enemies is limited to those within sight. This means that players cannot mark targets behind walls or obstacles unless they catch a glimpse of them before they take cover.
