Continuing on from the Deputized Side Quest inStarfield, players are sent on their first real mission as a Freestar Deputy to find any leads on the mercenaries that attacked the farmers. While on their way to speak with the HopeTech President, a Ship in need forces players to make a small detour.
When compared with other Freestar Collective Side Quests,Where Hope Is Builtis definitely shorter than the rest and doesn’t require that many steps inStarfield. Triggering the Quest is easy since players only need to finish Deputized.

Where Hope Is Built Walkthrough In Starfield
After retrieving a Slate sayingJob’s Donefrom the mercenaries' camp in the Deputized Side Quest,return toThe RockinAkila Cityand show it toMarshal Daniel Blake. The Marshal sends players on another mission immediately to speak withNia Kalu, a fellow Freestar Ranger who can introduce them to the President of HopeTech,Ron Hope.
Open the map and hover over to theValo SystemnearNarion, then follow the Quest marker to Jump nearPolvo. Upon hearing a distress signal from Nia, board her Ship inStarfieldand help her fix it, so she can reveal the identity of her attackers.
After Nia reveals the Outlaws’location inStarfield, head to Polvo’s MoonMiathaand destroy the Ships. Next, travel toHopeTownfound in Polvo to check up on Nia and to speak with the President as well.
Upon landing and heading inside the nearest HopeTech facility, follow the Quest marker to speak with Nia who guides players to Ron Hope’s office. She insists that players agree with whatever Ron is saying and show him only the utmost respect. Players are free to choose whatever choice they like as it won’t affect the Where Hope Is Built Side Quest in any way. The President is a strange character who seems to care about those around him but also doesn’t at the same time. People will get the chance to ask Ron about HopeTech and how a vessel gets stolen from under their noses.
Although Ron doesn’t care which tone players use when talking with him, some questions and answers will actually elicit different reactions from certain Companions. For example,Sarah might like choices that are diplomaticand solutions that help people while disliking any haughty or rude comments.
While speaking with the President,Cosettebarges in and reports that the stolen ship just landed inNeon City. Since the conversation is done, players can promise Ron to retrieve the stolen vessel.
The final step in the Where Hope Is Built Side Quest is to follow Nia outside the office where she tells players to meet RangerJaylen Priceonce they land in Neon.
