FIFA 22, still very popular on all consoles, introduced a new card type in a new promo in April: FUT Captains. The campaign saw Team 1 and Team 2 coming together in various objectives and SBC rewards.FIFACaptains are basically relatives of theFIFA 22Heroes card set, however, this mixes past players, such as Tim Cahill, with present ones, such as Jamie Noble (CM, 89, West Ham).

When it comes to players who are not on the field anymore, they earn a status called ‘Hero Captain’. All players are linked to a specific league, butsome of these leagues might differfrom those on the players' initial cards. 10Christian Günter (88, LB)
He plays for SC Freiberg and is 28 years old. Even though he scored 90 in agility and balance, he has quite a poor shot. However, he makes up for it by having the Early Crosser Player trait. Günter’s price is 20,750 on both the Xbox and Playstation market and 26,000 coins on PC.
Günter feels quite smooth on the controller, and he is definitely the ideal candidate if your team is just starting out and there are not a lot of coins to spend. His high score in agility makes up for some of the other skills he is lacking, however, be careful with his shooting: it’s not the most accurate.
9Jonas Hector (87, CDM)
Jonas Hector is a player for Koln, Germany and presents with quite high defending skills, as well as dribbling. However, his 90 score in defending is not enough to make up for the 70 in shooting. Hector’s value is 23,000 coins on the Xbox and PlayStation market, and 30,000 on PC.

Being a CDM, Hector is a brilliant defender. He is always quite easy to control on the ball, but not the most efficient shooter. However, he is considered to be quite an underrated player: onlineFIFAplayers defend him while still accepting his weaknesses.
8Lorenzo Pellegrini (89, CAM)
Pellegrini is an Italian footballer playing for Roma FC. He is 25 years old and has green scores all around, with all the stats above 80. He shows impressive stamina, but weaker defending skills. He is currently valued 29,250 coins on Xbox market, 35,500 coins on PlayStation and 34,000 coins on PC.
Pellegrini is said to not use his weaker foot enough during matches, so he has been penalized. It was a shock for online players to see his low ratings in Free Kick Accuracy, so it is clear how he has the potential to be a great Captain.
7Mark Noble (89, CM)
He plays on West Ham’s pitch and is34 years old. He is quite a stable player, with an exceptional long pass (97-rated) and great at penalties (96-rated). He also possesses the Long Passer player trait. His price on the Xbox market is 41,250 coins, while it is 38,500 coins on both PC and PlayStation.
Noble has been one of the players who have had a big upgrade compared to previous seasons. On the pitch, he feels quite easy to control, however sometimes his stamina gives up easily. But he is definitely someone to keep an eye on.
6Fabio Quagliarella (92, ST)
He plays for Italy’s Sampdoria and is 38 years old. He is remembered for his shot in the 2010 WorldCup, which is still now iconic. His stamina reaches 90, which is perfect for a striker. His ball control is rated 94, almost as high as his long shots, which are rated 96. He is valued 50,000 coins on the Xbox market, reaching 57,000 coins on PlayStation and 69,500 on PC.

Even if his stats have been slightly penalized by EA, he is still a very loved FUT Captain. His pace is not great, in fact, he feels quite backed down during games but his skills and precision make up for it.
5Koke (91, CM)
He has decent balance and reaction. He plays for Atletico Madrid is29 years old. He also has a good curve on the ball (92-rated) and efficient passing, both long and short. Koke is valued at 65,500 coins on the Xbox market, 71,500 on the PlayStation one and 85,000 coins on PC.
Jorge Resurrecciòn is his name, and he is pretty good to have on a team. He is quick on his feet and a decent dribbler, so it is a strong asset to have, even if just on the substitute’s bench.
4Lorenzo Insigne (92, LW)
Lorenzo is a player for Napoli and is clearly very quick on the ball: in fact, his pace is rated 95. Insigne’s rating appears quite realistic, however, his defending is quite poor (40-rated). His striking is effective, but his Physical skills could be higher (51-rated). Insigne is going for 61,500 coins on the Xbox market, 71,500 on PlayStation and 62,500 on PC.
Insigne is ofthe biggest disappointments: fiercely defended by fans on FIFA, he has been penalized unjustly. However, he is still a player of a certain class and it would be hard to find someone as good as him.
3Clint Dempsey (91, CAM)
Dempsey is 38 years old and plays for MLS, and he is a well-rounded player: he’s great at both attacking and defending. He is a precise dribbler (92-rated) and a great shooter too (91-rated). He had also a noticeable improvement in his defending skills, going from 48 to 81. His price on the Xbox market is 155,000 coins, going down to 69,500 on PlayStation and 89,500 on PC.

Dempsey is in the Hero category, and apparently, he’s made people fall in love with football. There is not much to say about this player, apart from the fact that he is worth all the praise he is getting. He feels as smooth as ever on the pitch, and he is quite hard to get through.
2Tyrone Mings (90, CB)
He is a defender at Aston Villa, with a solid pace. However, his dribbling (79) and shooting (56) skills could be improved. His passing is accurate and he has good balance and stability. He is 28 years old and is valued 179,000 coins on Xbox, 195,000 coins on PlayStation and 213,000 coins on PC.
Tyrone is also very tall. How is that relevant? Well, he’s fast, agile, and very good at defending: he does not let anything anyone or anything get past him. He is definitely one ofthe strongest FUT Captainsout there, and he is completely worth the price.
1Marcelo (94, LB)
Marcelo made it to the top 1. He plays for Real Madrid and his ratings are almost perfect. At 33 years old, he is described to have an almost perfect curve and cross (98-rated), super high stamina (94-rated), and impressive shot power (97-rated). He is definitely in the high price range too, costing 1,071,000 coins on the Xbox market, 1,434,000 coins on the PlayStation market, and 1,385,000 on the PC one.
He is basically unbeatable. Marcelo is considered by many to be one of the bestLeft Back playersavailable, and he is very nice to play with. He feels fast and in control, not letting anything slip.
