Ending this year after nine successful seasons, the TV seriesThe Flashmanaged to introduce the superhero Barry Allen, also known as the Flash, to a wider range of audiences. It also gave space to many other superheroes and supervillains alike.
All series come to an end eventually, andThe Flashmanaged to run longer than other Arrowverse series, such asArrow,Supergirl, andLegends of Tomorrow, marking it as a clear success. With hundreds of episodes under its belt, those who would like to do a re-watching of the best-rated episodes of the DC series have multiple options to choose from.

5Flash Vs. Arrow: Season 1, Episode 8
As the first official crossover story ofThe Flash, the episode sees the return of the popular heroOliver Queen, aka the Green Arrow. Even though Oliver and Barry are friends by this point, a conflict erupts between them thanks to some frustration from Barry’s side and especially mind alteration caused by the villain they face.

As a result, the episode features an epic showdown between the two superheroes which helps answer the question: Which of them would win in a fight? Perhaps surprisingly, even though the Flash has special powers and Green Arrow doesn’t, it’s a more even fight than many would have expected.
4The Trap: Season 1, Episode 20
Some of the best episodes in the show see the team trying to trap a dangerous villain by dangling bait in front of him. In this episode, the villain is the Reverse Flash and the bait is Cisco. The episode focuses primarily on the fake Harrison Wells and discovering more about him, making it a must-watch for all fans of the character.

The pacing is fast and the episode’s finale intense, so it sticks in the audience’s mind. While the firstseason’s finaleis yet a few episodes away by this point, “The Trap” is an excellent prelude to it.
3Enter Zoom: Season 2, Episode 6
Even though Barry Allen likes to call himself the fastest man alive in the show’s intro, there are other speedsters who have given him the run for his money. Unfortunately for Barry, most of them turned out to be evil. Other than the Reverse Flash, one of the most prominent villainous speedsters was Zoom. In “Enter Zoom,” Barry and his team come up with a plan for how to trick Zoom and stop him.
Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t go according to plan. The episode keeps a fast pace and offers a lot of tension since it’s clear that trying to trick Zoom is dangerous. Not to mention that it means putting one of the characters, the journalist Linda Park, into the line of fire. This leads to further conflict between the heroes as Joe disagrees with the decision. The episode contains a lot of hilarious moments as well and combined with the rising tension and the explosive finale. It became one of the most popular episodes ofThe Flash.

2Fast Enough: Season 1, Episode 23
The season finale of any show is even more important than the previous episodes. It has to sufficiently close all the major plot points and at the same time, present enough mysteries to keep the audience intrigued and motivate them to watch the next season. The first season finale ofThe Flashmanaged to do just that. To this day,Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse Flash, remains the most important villain in the show, the one who changed Barry’s life the most. Not only did he help Barry gain his powers, but he also killed his mother Nora.

In this episode, Barry tries to save Nora as he travels back in time. It’s not the first time Barry uses his speed to for this purpose, but it’s the first time the stakes are so high. As a result, the episode keeps the audience captivated from start to finish. Everybody wants to see whether Barry will manage to pull off the impossible and save his mother, or whether he’ll only make things worse.
1Out Of Time: Season 1, Episode 15
The Flashhad some of its most impressive episodes in the initial seasons. “Out of Time” scored a high rating of 9.6 out of 10 on IMDb. It marked the return of one ofthe more prominent villainsof the first season, Mark Mardon, who had the same ability to manipulate the weather as his brother Clyde. And since Mark was determined to kill Barry’s adoptive father Joe, the stakes were high in the episode. It wasn’t the first time nor would it be the last time that somebody threatened the people closest to Barry, and he had to use his power combined with the talents of his team to save them.
What makes this episode so popular among the fans is the ease with which it sets the blocks for future epic events. In the second half of “Out of Time,” multiple major events and character changes take place, making it clear that things will never be the same from now on. Or will they? Since the show involves time travel and the episode ends on a cliffhanger, it leaves the audience eager for more. It remains the best-rated episode of the show, and it seems unlikely that another episode will overcome “Out of Time” anytime soon.
