Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsfully embraces the fantasy setting fromBorderlands 2’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, and in doing so opens the game up to feature a number of new things. This is seen viaTiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ overworldmap, which provides a new way to traverse between areas, as well as in the addition of melee weapons. The game’s colorful locations are noticeably different, the multi-class system sees Gearbox embrace character creation, and the addition of spell casting opens up several new abilities.
One such spell is cast by the Spore Warden class, one of the newly revealed classes forTiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Alongside an adorable mushroom companion, the latest trailer shows a ghostly bow being summoned by the Spore Warden. They then use it to fire off seven shots at once with the “Barrage of Arrows” ability, and while this looks devastating, hopefully there will be more to this special bow’s moveset. If used correctly, there could be several ways to wield the weapon effectively.

The Potential For The Spore Warden’s Bow In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
While the one ability revealed forthe Spore Wardenbow looks excellent, there should be far more to this weapon than a single firing mode. Having the option to fire arrows one at a time could be nice, as players would be allowed to land a single, accurate headshot for devastating damage. Charging up these shots could deal more damage, making them even more effective.
A rapid shot from the bow is another possibility, with players firing several shots one by one in quick succession. If Gearbox were to take notes fromtheOverwatchhero Hanzo, a recon arrow could mark enemies in an area and a scatter arrow could explode to deal damage in a certain area. While the “Barrage of Arrows” ability is a great way to deal some spread damage with a bow, games have shown that a lot can be done with the primitive weapon type.
WithTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsclasses like the Clawbringerand Spellshot giving players a way to deal elemental damage, it would make sense if the Spore Warden could do the same. Players could have the option to fire off elemental arrows, with everything from corrosive to electric arrow types being made available. There is potential for the arrows to deliver status effects like bleeding, too, with Gearbox possibly letting players deal damage over time with the weapon.
Unfortunately, there is good reason to be concerned about the capabilities of the bow being limited. In the trailer that showcasedTiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ Gravebornand Spore Warden, the Spore Warden’s other ability was showcased. Instead of another bow-related attack, “Blizzard” was revealed. While this ability certainly looks neat, as it allows players to send out Frost Cyclones to freeze foes, it seems like it would fit the ice-focused Brr-Zerker class far better than it does the Spore Warden. With two special abilities revealed for each class thus far, there may only be one firing mode for the class’s bow.
WhileTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsclassesall look fun to play, it would be a bit of a shame if the Spore Warden’s bow was limited to a single attack. A lot could be done with the interesting-looking weapon, and hopefully Gearbox has more tricks up its sleeve when it comes to this class. While it looks like a blast to use, the “Blizzard” ability seems out of place for the Spore Warden, and hopefully it does not end up limiting the capabilities of the class’s bow too much.
