The Weak Win Game

The season finale begins whenYuichi enters a dark roomand encounters a group of strangers holding Kokorogi hostage. A new character, Kuroki, explains the rules of the game, Weak Win Game, to Yuichi before they begin. According to Kuroki, Yuichi will be tortured for three rounds. If he can endure the pain, he and Kokorogi will be free. The only way for Yuichi to evade the torture is for Kokorogi to endure the pain for him. In addition, Kokorogi must decide who will bear the pain. If she chooses herself, the torture won’t be as painful as it would be if she chooses Yuichi.

The first round of the game entails getting punched by a massive Hercules-like man, Goriki. If Kokorogi chooses herself, she will get punched only once. But if she chooses Yuichi, he will get punched three times. Kokorogi has five seconds to choose, but she is unable. This means Yuichi is automatically selected. She is forced to watch as Yuichi gets punched three times and falls to the ground. The next round worsens. Kuroki announces that if Kokorogi chooses herself, she will lose only one of her fingernails. However, if she chooses Yuichi, he will lose three fingernails. As much as Kokorogi does not want Yuichi to endure pain, she struggles to go through the torture herself. From what the audience has seen, Kokorogi is delicate, weak, and unable to take care of herself. Yuichi knows this, and his concern for her prompts him to volunteer for the second round.

For the last round, Kokorogi must make a choice. If she chooses herself, she must dance while she’s naked. However, if she chooses Yuichi, Kuroki will gouge his hand three times with a knife. Unable to make a choice, Kokorogi tells Yuichi to choose and that she will do whatever he asks. As expected,Yuichi volunteers once again. After Kuroki tortures him, he tells both participants that the special game is over, and they are free to go. When Yuichi expresses his anger, Kuroki mistakes it for being directed toward Kokorogi. However, Yuichi clarifies that he is angry at Kuroki, not Kokorogi. This is when Kokorogi falls into his arms and exclaims with teary eyes that she trusts him. This is enough to console Yuichi.

Rock, Paper, Fingers

After the game ends, Yuichi invites Kuroki to play another game. If he wins, Yuichi will give him 10 million yen. Kuroki accepts. Yuichi tells him they will play “one round of rock, paper, scissors.” If Kuroki wins, he receives 10 million yen, but if he loses, Yuichi will get to cut off his fingers.

Yuichi explains that if he chooses paper and loses,he will cut off all five fingers. If Kuroki picks scissors and loses, Yuichi will cut off two fingers; if Kuroki selects rock and loses, Yuichi will not cut off any fingers.

Sensing Kuroki’s discomfort, Yuichi tells him he has a huge advantage considering he can only choose rock or paper with his bandaged right hand. But before they can begin playing, Kuroki cuts him off, exclaiming that he didn’t say he was going to play. This is all that Yuichi needs to start mocking him in front of his friends. Yuichi raises the stakes by announcing that if Kuroki wins, he will give everyone one million yen each.

Feeling pressured, Kuroki accepts, and the game commences. As Kuroki chooses paper, he is horrified to discover thatYuichi has chosen scissors with his left hand. When Kuroki exclaims that he cheated, Yuichi defends himself by stating that he had said he could only use rock or paper with his right hand, but no one said he couldn’t use his left hand. Feeling mortified, Kuroki commands his friends to grab Yuichi. But as they do so, the Tomodachi Game management ambushes the area.

Caught

The Tomodachi Game managementreveals that Kuroki and his group have been impersonating them. Yuichi had a feeling this was the case when they first called him, so he asked Mikasa to contact the Tomodachi Game management. However, before management can take Kuroki away, Yuichi intercepts, claiming he has unfinished business with him.

He informs Kuroki that if one of his friends chooses to take his place, he will only cut off one of their fingers. Unfortunately for Kuroki, none of his friends volunteer. But fortunately for him, Yuichi passes out before he can torture him. After Kuroki’s arrest, Maria (now with her natural pink hair) tells Mikasa and Kokorogi that if they participate in the next Tomodachi Game, they might be able to save Shibe, who had been arrested for murder. However, the catch is that they will gain another 500 million in debt.
