Now, Square Enix has released an announcement detailing the launch dates per platform forValkyrie Elysium.
Hardcore fans are likely of the mind that it is about time that Square Enix puts its focus on theValkyrieseries. The last game released wasValkyrie Anatomia, amobile role-playing game on Android and IOS devicesthat was first launched in Japan in 2016 then worldwide in 2019. Unfortunately, the title’s mobile services were shut down in 2021, likely disappointingValkyrie Profilefans and making them feel the lack of the series’ presence in today’s gaming scene.

To officially announce the release date ofValkyrie Elysium, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer video on its official YouTube channel. According to the video’s description box, the game will be released on consoles first. This means PlayStation 4 and 5 owners will get first dibs onValkyrie Elysiumthis August 03, 2025, while Steam users will be able to play the game by June 22, 2025. With the very firstValkyrie Profiletitle beingreleased exclusively on the original PlayStation console, it is not surprising for Square Enix to go back to its roots and haveValkyrie Elysiumexclusive for PlayStation even if it is just for a short amount of time.
Fans will likely enjoy the new details shared inValkyrie Elysiumtrailer. Some aspects of the game’s story have been revealed, particularly about the dark-armored warrior that fans would recognize from the end of the game’s first trailer. According to the video, this character goes by the name “Fenrir.” Players will also be introduced to some NPCs that the Valkyrie will encounter in her journey. These NPCs will be able to join the protagonist in battle as Einherjar, giving players a sneak peek of the battle flow and system. This is especially significant, given that the trailer shows off veryBloodborneandElden Ring-inspired bossesand monsters that players will have to take down.
With the release date ofValkyrie Elysiumonly three months away, Square Enix will likely share more information about the action RPG. Fans are probably very excited at the prospect of playing another title from theValkyrie Profileseries.
