Manor Lordsputs players in the shoes of a would-be lord in a medieval setting, struggling to care for his people and build a thriving settlement to start their fiefdom. The game is about guiding and shaping a settlement from pure squalor to a thriving metropolis.
To that end, knowing all thematerials available to a settlement, how to craft them locally, and their myriad uses is a player’s entire job. One of the materials that doesn’t seem to have a clear use isWooden Parts. Here’s everything players need to know about it.
There are two ways to obtain Wooden Parts inManor Lords:
Joiner’s Workshop
The Joiner’s Workshop is abackyard extension that can be built onlevel 2 Burgage Plots(and above) for 4 Planks. Click on a burgage plot, select the gear icon, and select the Joiner’s Extension to start the construction.
A Joiner’s Workshop can create Small Shields, Large Shields, and Wooden Parts. Players can assign Joiner’s Workshop artisans to work on making Wooden Parts by changing their assignment in the General tab.
Backyard Extensions can only be built on Burgage Plots with their borders extended when their foundation was first put down.
The Joiner’s Workshop workers can easily deplete a player’s plank reserves if left unchecked. Remember to pause production on a Joiner’s Workshop (and all other Backyard extensions) once they’ve crafted the required goods for the settlement. Production can be halted by clicking the pause button in the top right of the context menu.
Joiner’s Workshop workers are considered Artisans. Artisans cannot be assigned to any other job than the one they specialize in.
Trading Post
Like all goods, Wooden Parts can beimported to the settlement via the Trading Post. To do so, build a trading post for 4 Timber connected to the King’s Road. Assign a family to work there, and set the trade of Wooden Parts from No Trade to Import. Wooden Parts cost 15 Regional Wealth to import.
How to Use Wooden Parts in Manor Lords
After obtaining Wooden Parts, players might be wondering what these items are used for.
In the current version of the game, Wooden Parts have no use other than trading. There is no reason to craft or import Wooden Parts as no building, upgrade, or craftable material requires Wooden Parts to be built.
The only way players can utilize Wooden Parts right now is byexporting them for a small profit(5 Regional Wealth).
