A game calledHell Let Loosehas recently become pretty popular on content creation sites like YouTube and Twitch. In fact, the situation shares some similarities withEscape from Tarkov’s abrupt spike in popularityon Twitch at the beginning of this year.

With the recent spike in popularity, a lot of gamers are probably wondering what exactly isHell Let Loose. In short, it’s a realistic war simulation FPS that centers around World War II combat developed by Black Matter and published by Team17.

Hell Let Looseis a realistic war simulation game where two teams of 50 players battle over control of one very large map. Players spawn in a random platoon of six other players making up a team of 50 total players. As such, thedevelopers see effective communicationas one of the core pillars of the gameplay experience.

The overall objective of the two current game modes, Warfare and Offensive, is to gain control of the individual sectors that each map is divided into. Warfare focuses on taking and maintaining the most sectors on a map, while Offensive tasks each team with either defending or claiming every sector on a map.

Realistic military shooters can be a bit niche or hard to grasp for some players, butHell Let Loosecertainly looks like a very fun time given some time and experience with the game. Like many modern PC games,Hell Let Loosedoesn’t have an official release date yetbut the game is available to purchase now in early access. So while the game is not yet completely finished, players can jump in, play, and help Black Matter with any helpful feedback.
