Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Inteleon Tera Raid has already been written off as an easy fight by many before it even went live. Granted, experienced Tera Raid players will likely have many tools at their disposal to aid them in the fight. Even so, that doesn’t change the fact that Inteleon is a 7-Star Raid, just likePokemon Scarlet and Violet’s previous event raids. That signifies Inteleon as just as tough an opponent as those that came before it. There are a few reasons why players may assume that it will be a pushover though, and each can be analyzed.
It was revealed thatInteleon isScarlet and Violet’s next Tera Raid, which does fit in with recent trends. Several previous starters have been making cameo appearances as bosses in 7-Star Tera Raids, so Inteleon makes sense as the next Pokemon in line for the honor. Inteleon’s Raid will only be available for a short time, between April 27 and April 30, then May 4 to May 7. Since Inteleon can’t be found in Paldea otherwise, it’s an opportunity for players to catch a rather exclusive Pokemon. For this reason, the event is perfect for players who were fond of Inteleon inSword and Shield.

Scarlet And Violet’s Inteleon Raid is In Danger Of Being Too Easy
The first obstacle for Inteleon is its Ice Tera type. AlthoughPokemon Scarlet and Violetbuffed Ice-types, that doesn’t change the fact that Ice is the weakest type defensively in all ofPokemon. Ice only resists itself while having weaknesses to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel-types. Although Ice does have an offensive niche, being strong against four types, including the powerful Dragon-type, that doesn’t stop it from being a defensive liability. Since Terastallizing will make the event Inteleon into a pure Ice-type, it will be more vulnerable defensively than if it had kept its usual Water-type.
One weakness that Inteleon already had will also be on display. Inteleon was a fast Special Attacker as one of thestarters inPokemon Sword and Shieldwho could hit hard before the opponent could react. Unfortunately, it also had a fairly limited movepool, especially if it wants to focus on its impressive Special Attack rather than its middling Attack stat. While it gets some good moves like Snipe Shot and Dark Pulse, and its Terastal version would make Ice Beam quite lethal, its lack ot type variety makes it somewhat predictable. UnlessScarlet and Violetexpands its moveset, players won’t see many surprising coming from Inteleon’s moveset.
Both of these traits combine into a big potential weakness for Inteleon in its Tera Raid battle. Even thoughPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s 7-Star Tera Raidsare supposed to be incredibly tough, Tera Inteleon looks comparatively easy to prepare for. Although it is near-guaranteed to have a Water-type attack that will easily deal with Fire and Rock-types, it would likely struggle against Fighting and Steel-types that would be able to hit its weaknesses with impunity. This gives the impression that Inteleon’s Raid will be easily conquered with such a strategy. That may be the case unless Tera Inteleon has a surprise that has yet to be revealed.
Inteleon’s Tera Raid is an exciting event that will give players a chance to catch one of the last generation’s starters. Unfortunately,Scarlet and Violet’s last Raid of Aprilgives off the impression that it will be one of the easiest of the 7-Star Raids yet. It seems like all players need to do is bring their best Fighting or Steel-types into the fight to overwhelm Inteleon with damage while giving it few options in return. Hopefully that will not be the case, and Inteleon’s Tera Raid inPokemon Scarlet and Violetcan be a worthy challenge.
