Pokemon GO Players Will Want to Catch a Shiny Grubbin During September 2023’s Community Day

Pokemon GOplayers were already treated to a Community Day Classic event on September 2 that featured Charmander as the spotlight critter, granting them the chance to get a highly-covetedshiny Charizard. Now, the upcoming Community Day on September 23 gives players another chance to obtain some of the best shiny variants in the game in the form of Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt. As such, it’s a great time to dive into the world ofPokemon GOand take part in this event for the chance to find a shiny Grubbin.

The Grubbin line of evolutions was first introduced in Gen 7’sPokemon Sun and Moonon the 3DSand became quite popular for their design and Bug/Electric typing, despite Vikavolt’s incredibly low Speed stat. However, fans of shinies quickly fell in love with these mons as their rare alternate color variants added a unique flavor to the designs of these critters. Shiny Grubbin changes from an orange and yellow color palette to a stark red one, as does the usually green Charjabug. Meanwhile, Vikavolt changes dramatically from a dark blue and yellow palette to a beautiful silver and neon green one.

In addition to the increased spawn rate of Grubbin during the Community Day,Pokemon GOplayerswill also be able to participate in four-star raids against Charjabug. Defeating these four-star raids will cause additional Grubbin to spawn around the associated gym for 30 minutes, giving players an even greater chance of finding a shiny variant of the critter. On top of all of that, players who evolve their Grubbins into Charjabugs, and Charjabugs into Vikavolts near a Magnetic Lure during or up to five hours after the even will get a critter that knows the Fast Attack Volt Switch.

There are even more reasons to be excited for September 2023’s Community Day event inPokemon GObeyond the potential for shiny Grubbins. This event will also include a handful of bonuses players can take advantage of such as 3x XP and 2x Candy for catching mons, Incense and Lure Modules lasting for three hours during the event, and an additional trade being possible during that day with all trades costing 50% less Stardust. Between these bonuses and the potential for adding one of thebest shinies inPokemon GOto players' collections, fans of the game won’t want to miss out on any of the festivities for the game’s Community Day event for September 2023.
