The statue stands at 6.5 inches (16.5cm) tall, and features all of the gory details one would expect from a Licker, with an exposed brain, fully extended tongue, claws, and hand-painted detail making them all pop. The Licker crouches on a platform next to an abandoned flashlight, giving a sense of scale to the figure. It’s worth noting, though, that the image shared thus far are from a prototype, so it’s possible some changes may be made before its official release.

As far as collectible gaming statues go, this one is fairly affordable, coming in at $95.99 USD. OtherResident EvilLicker statueshave gone for hundreds of dollars. It’s the latest in the NumskullResident Evilcollection, as the producers previously announced that the Tyrant T-002 would receive the statue treatment, as well. While the Licker statue isn’t available to ship just yet, fans can place their orders for its planned release in September 2022.

Resident Evil, being the immensely popular survival horror series that it is, has received many collectible figures and statues like this one in the past. Everyone from playable character icons like Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield have received official collectible releases, allowing players to enjoy and celebrate the series even when their gaming systems are turned off. WhileResident Evil Villagerecently saw massive sales, it’s clear that fans are still enamored with the classics that started it all, too.

While the series has deviated from its origins, especially recently with its shift to a first-person perspective, it’s managed to survive the test of time while other franchises likeSilent Hillhave become stagnant. Though some fans are looking to the future of the franchise, with collectible releases like these and hints at aResident Evil 4 Remakelooking back to the titles that cemented it as a classic, it’s clear there’s room for nostalgia and anticipation alike in theResident Evilfanbase.
