When Patch 10.1.7 arrives,a new ping system will be added toWorld of Warcraft. This option will initially be bound to the G key and can give players more control over how to communicate objectives to teammates. Pings can also be restricted to raid leaders to prevent misuse during a fight. In addition to the ping system, Blizzard stated that some tuning for the Mistweaver Monk and Restoration Druid will see some talents significantly changed. The Restoration Druid will also gain a new talent called Grove Guardians that will replace their Nourish spell if taken. In addition, the Mistweaver talents called Mana Tea and Lifecycles have had their effects changed to provide better mana management when healing.

Plus, the ability to sell all junk items in the inventory will be added to vendors. The change lines up with Blizzard’s continued efforts to improve the user interface throughoutDragonflightand integrate what add-ons can do as part of the base game. In addition,Timewalking dungeons will have their level requirements reduced, which will be a boon forWorld of Warcraftplayers who want to level alternate characters quickly.

With two of the Primal Incarnates at odds over how to achieve their goals, thenext major update forWorld of Warcraftmay soon lead players to The Emerald Dream. Only time will tell how the story of Fury Incarnate will unfold.

NEW PUBLIC EVENT: DREAMSURGE

The growth of a new World Tree is causing the energies of the Emerald Dream to manifest throughout the Dragon Isles. Defeat the chaos brought about by the Druids of the Flame for rewards. Seek out Hamuul Runetotem in Valdrakken for the “Surging Dreams” quest. Players can also go directly to the Dreamsurge icon in whichever zone is affected.

Each week one of the four original zones in the Dragon Isles—The Waking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, Thaldraszus, and The Azure Span—will be affected by a Dreamsurge. Every 30 minutes, a major Waking Dream portal will open in the affected zone as a group event. While active, that zone will be granted Dreaming Winds—a 25% increase to experience for players leveling in that area.

Champions must work together to defeat the onslaught by defeating the Druids of the Flame, destroying their altars, and dragonriding through their reinforcements circling above. Once complete, prepare for a fight with a Flame Lieutenant who drops Charred Elemental Remains once he is defeated. During a Dreamsurge, minor Waking Dream portals are also found scattered across the affected zone; these can be defeated by solo players or small groups.

Every 30 minutes while the event is active, a new buff will be selected for that region. Those participating in the event can vote to shape the incoming Dreamsurge, so players will have various useful, powerful, or chaotic buffs to help them defend the zone. [LEARN MORE]
