Airbnb’s X-Mansion experience, hosted byX-Men ‘97star Jubilee, accommodates up to eight guests in four bedrooms with five beds and two baths. This immersive experience begins with Jubilee guiding guests through a student orientation video, inviting them to step into the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning as mutant trainees. Guests can engage in activities such as training in the Danger Room under professional stunt coordinators, participating in team briefings in the War Room, trying on a functional Cerebro helmet, concocting potions inBeast’s lab (one of the strongestX-Men), recreating Wolverine’s famous photograph meme, and receiving a diploma in Professor X’s office. Each themed bedroom, including Jubilee’s ’90s-inspired room, Wolverine’s Disney+ room, Beast’s lab, and a recruits’ dorm room, adds to the authenticity of the experience.
To recreate the X-Mansion vibe, Airbnb partnered with Microsoft to revamp vintage operating systems into functioning boomboxes. Each prop and room in the house was painstakingly hand-painted for hours to embody the 2D animated universe ofX-Men ‘97, ensuring an authentic and immersive atmosphere for visitors. Despite initial doubts due to its uncanny 2D-3D hybrid, the latest Airbnb listing is fully operational and will welcomeX-Menenthusiasts in June.
