Reddit user VividAwareness4719 recently pointed out a helpful trick with canons inTears of the Kingdom. Canons can be combined with another weapon using theZelda: Tears of the KingdomFuse mechanic, in turn used to attack enemies from a distance like a bow. Similar to other weapons, the canon can be aimed bypressing R inZelda: Tears of the Kingdomwhich replaces the throw weapon option that normally pops up with the button prompt.
Some parts ofZelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule and its shrines require players to have a ranged weapon, with the canon being a possible replacement for the bow in some conditions. With this solution in mind, someZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayers may be able to complete a task that they’ve been stuck on by fusing a canon with a weapon. According to VividAwareness4719, this canon trick doesn’t work as well withZelda: Tears of the Kingdomshieldsas it does with weapons like spears.
The Fuse mechanic is far from the only thing adding replayability to the game, as others havemadeZelda: Tears of the Kingdomcombat drones, mechs, rocket launchers, and more with Ultrahand. While some otherZelda: Tears of the Kingdombuilds require players to have several materials and the Ultrahand ability, this canon technique requires very little by comparison.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available now for Nintendo Switch.
