BeforeZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayers are able to leave the sky islands and head down to Hyrule, they will first need to open the Temple of Time to complete one of the first main quests. To do that, they’ll need to find andcomplete three tutorial Shrines that will give Link several new abilities.
The Gutanbac Shrine, located in a freezing area on the east side of the Great Sky Island, will allowTears of the Kingdomplayers to use theAscendability for the first time, which can be used to move upward through solid material. This guide will walk players through the mini-dungeon so they can progress and earn yet another Light of Blessing to eventually increase Link’s stamina and max health.

Gutanbac Shrine Location
To get to the Gutanbac Shrine, which is located on theeast side of the sky islands, players will have to climb some cliffs that happen to be colder than other areas. In order to survive, they’ll need to find a cooking pot and throw in someSpicy Peppersto create theSpicy Sauteed Peppers recipe, giving Link a couple of minutes ofCold Resistance, depending on how many peppers are used. The peppers can be found on several bushes near the shrine.

Gutanbac Shrine Walkthrough
Upon entering theZeldashrine, players will get another ability: Ascend. To use it, hold the L button and then use the right control stick to confirm the skill. Walk towards the wall and use the newly acquired skill to get to the upper platform, which should be super simple.
In the next section, players can grab acheston a short platform using the Ascend power underneath it. This chest will have aStone Axewith a power of 5, which can be used to chop trees down or other ‘cuttable’ objects.
Now, go underneath the platform to the right of the chest to get to the next section of the shrine. Look to the wall on the right to find two wooden boxes. Instead of trying to break them, simply push them inward and then use the Ascend skill to reach a higher platform with another chest containing aConstruct Bow, which will not catch on fire like the cheaperWooden Bows.
Drop down to the main level, and players will see a bridge held up in the air by two pieces of rope. Players can either hit the rope with a sharp weapon like the axe, or they can shoot them with a bow and arrow. Once they are broken, the platform will drop, and players can go underneath it touse Ascend again.
And for the last section of theGutanbac Shrine, players will need to stand underneath the moving platform that’s slightly blue and then use Ascend.
Once it lines up with the platform above it, use the skill a second time to reach the end of the puzzle room.
